    Indeed the difficulty is attaining 20th level, not the 20 in the score. Traditions were a part of this game before I even got around to switching it over to EoMR and I would prefer to keep them. I don't have EoM II, so I won't be using anything from it.

    Well, the important thing is probably extra dice, since both examples from the Penetrating Shot feat are specifically extra damage from dice only.

    Iku Rex Your weapon specialization quote is part of the description, not the benefit of the feat. Your quotes regarding immunity to critical hits works slightly, however in the actual description of critical hits there is no mention of the multiplied damage being extra, but just being multiplied.

    Bah... not broken at all. The only change it needed was the one provided by Spell Compendium which declared that the bonus to damage became a typed Enhancement bonus to damage so that it didn't stack with Brambles.

    Criticals are a multiplication of damage, it is never described as "extra damage" anywhere I can find.
