Lord of the Rings - the Musical Adaption

For some reason, I cannot avoid the image of Gollum doing the duet of Christine and the Phantom from Phantom of the Opera all by himself, or of hobbits singing "Do You Hear the People Sing" during the Scouring of the Shire. This might suck mightily. Then again, it might not. We shall see.

    Describe your NEXT game session!

In my next session, the party will continue to explore the caves below Galath's Roost, fight giant ants, release a prisoner or two who will join the party, and perhaps also find an elven tomb. It is possible they will get to start storming a fortress as well.

    Do You Allow Evil PCs?

I don't allow evil PCs except in villain campaigns, and usually have to disallow even chaotic neutral, because of a couple of my players' tendency to create lone wolf characters with no morals who will betray the party and create unwanted conflict.

Your first character with a Prestige Class

Varl Kadek, a Fighter/Rogue/Duelist in Nightfall's Scarred Lands campaign, The Irregulars of Hollowfaust. It... went. He acquired the class fairly late in the campaign and never got to truly show off with it. He did end up as the Barron of Fharral in New Venir, though, and retired from active...

    What's your screenname mean?

Nicked off a Forgotten Realms novel, Elfshadow. The original name was Ni'Tessine, but as I originally adopted it for my PC in Baldur's Gate back in 1998, I couldn't figure out how to produce an apostrophe with the weirdo American keyboard configuration the game had. So, I guess it's somewhere...

I now have my first ever autographed RPG product.

I got Jonathan Tweet's autograph in my 3.0 PHB when he was the guest of honour at RopeCon last year...

    "Its so big!"

I got named 'Shogun', for much the same reasons. Indeed, not a bad nickname, though it gets old quickly when a bunch of 15-year-olds shouts it at you every time you walk by.

    Hong's venting thread

Hohoo... I've been offline since late November, thanks to Elisa Internet and their exemplary customer service. When the connection first failed, I called the helpdesk, they said they'd look into it, nothing happened for two weeks. Every time I've tried to call again the lines have been full...

    Sharn: How is it?

Hmm. Looks promising. Must buy once it hits my gaming store. I have great plans for that soundtrack CD. Great plans. I'm planning a narration sequence with the music playing in the background to start an introductory adventure that'd cover all the major bases of what makes Eberron Eberron...

Christmas Gift Giving and Your Campaign Group

Yeah, we do tend to buy each other gifts. I make it a point to get each member of my group something, usually a cheap FR novel or a miniature, or something along those lines. A couple of times in the past we've all chipped in to buy a group member the Player's Handbook.

    [pet peeve/rant] Grammar, people!!

Hmm. This I did not know... Must be because I spent the majority of my English classes sleeping or planning adventures or designing player characters... Thanks.

Help on History Essay, er... kinda, anyway, as such.

Ask, and ye shall receive. The most ludicrous and idiotic war ever... I present thee... The Football War! And you thought the English were bad about their soccer...

    Rhapsody

Ah, yes... Rhapsody rocketh mightily. So, their new album came out? Now? Bastards... just as I got around to getting Turisas' and Sonata Arctica's new ones... Ah, no rest for the wicked. Towards the music section my wallet goeth. Rhapsody holds a special place in my black and twisted heart for...

What are some of your Favorite chars you've played?

    1) Caldour Dalaith, a bard I played in a roleplaying-oriented MUD, a long time ago. He was an utter snob, spoke some five or six different languages, sucked at fighting, and spent more time worrying about his wardrobe than about the conflict between good and evil. He was a blast to play...

    WotC Summer 05 Product Lists

No, Eberron. Personally, I'm looking forward to this. And Waterdeep. Actually, there's a couple of other books there that look really interesting. What really caught my eye is Battlefield Adventures: A Genre Series Supplement. My first instinct would be to say it's same format as the...

Have you played any RPGA-sanctioned games in the past 3 months?

I played Living Greyhawk a couple of months back, and will be playing again next month. The Finnish circle of active RPGA players isn't overly large, so the games tend to be few and far between. I guess I'm weird or something, but I actually like managing all the paperwork of a Living Greyhawk PC.

Fall Ceramic DM - Final Round Judgment Posted!

Probably couldn't have participated, even if I had found this thread in time, since I've got a bigger fish to fry, with NaNoWriMo. First time I don't mind having to miss Ceramic DM. Good luck to you, and to all the other competitors. May your pens flow with ingenuous expression and witty...
