Leesburg, Virginia, seeking 1 more player

I thought you had a long running game there in Round Hill. I'm trying to hook up with a group that plays up in Inwood, WV over on Pen and Paper.

    How should we determine attributes?

Give them a couple of choices. Reward the gamblers. Old School Diaglo: 3d6 in a row but you get a cool magic item to go with it 4d6 drop the lowest or Point Buy are the most common Roll a bunch of attributes your self with some method. Put them in a hat, have them take turns drawing from...

Leesburg, Virginia, seeking 1 more player

I work in DC (NW). Live out in Winchester, take the bus in from Leesburg. Tohoshie, Do you have a place to play in Leesburg at? Than the issue would be getting Felix to the game. And finding a few more.

Leesburg, Virginia, seeking 1 more player

Had a great group in Alexandria, just weekly mid-week was killing me commuting from Winchester. They have since fairly filled back up from what I understand in the last few months. Really anything West of Ashburn along Rt7 or US50 (West of US15) would be perfect me.

Leesburg, Virginia, seeking 1 more player

Dang it this game would have been perfect for me. I park in Leesburg to catch the bus in, and bi-weekly fits my schedule great. And I like 3.5E. If you are looking for more let me know.

Products you'd love to see published (but probably never will)

That would get me to open my wallet. :D Though such a guide be huge and expensive, probably multi-volume as well.

$125,000 in fines for D&D pirates? Help me do the math...

Really I think we can all agree that neither side is going to readily change the mind of the other. So why not put it in this prespective. Before PDF's, books were pirated. During PDF sales, books were pirated. After PDF sales, books were pirated. See the theme there? The PDF legal...

    Do you want PDFs?

I think you summed it up nicely. I do believe there is a happy medium somewhere in it all, but it isn't one WotC wants to take the step on. So most will do as they always did prior to them making it available legally before.

    Appeal to Support EN World!

The Adblock works great. Enworld the Community I would consider leaving it whitelisted, but now that it's gone business I'll treat it just like other sites when I'm at home using Firefox. --------------------------------- Congrats on trying to make it a business. I wish you luck on it. Hate...

What RPG for the Twilight book series?

I would second use the one you know best and tweak it from there. Next I would suggest if she likes the Twillight series she might like True Blood (HBO series based off the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris http://www.charlaineharris.com/ ). The series doesn't follow the books to a...

non switchers: what can wotc do to win you back?

Win me back, that's a tough one. I borrowed the THREE CORE books from a friend, it didn't really appeal to me. The everything core is kind of a turn off for me much like a unibrow. So 4E itself (as a system) isn't what I want. I'll probably browse his Darksun copy when he gets it as well just...

Ugh, would rather be on EnWorld a few weeks ago during the slow 30 minute click times. Don't like the look of the forums.

    Playing Evil

Have both played in one and DM'd one. I enjoyed playing more. The real suprise of it was the shy girl in the group, was the one with the worst of the 'evil' acts. She ended up being our party leader. The starting levels of it centered on raiding merchant caravan's, even defeating various...

Less is More? Less books per setting equal more enjoyment?

Because many players/GM's especially those in public games where folks join in at gamestores try to stick specifically to canon to solve the problems of players being able to point and reference a page number. I kind of like the 3 and out method. It allows them the option of more books if...

Thanks for the Spellplague info, can see where people got a bit miff'd at that one.

Less is More? Less books per setting equal more enjoyment?

Forked from the 3 and out statement being bantered about on another thread. Does having less books per setting make for a more enjoyable setting? I know I've throughly enjoyed a few quite a few settings that were only one or two books for the whole thing as well as some that had numerous...

The New Forgotten Realms - (About) A Year Later

Anyone want to explain the Spell-Plague to a non-4e guy? The way it reads from this thread it's akin to the Cataclysm within Dragonlance, only it's a present times calmity between 3.5E and 4E vice a past tense happening at the start of Dragonlance.
