    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

If I'm playing in a game and the DM asks me to make a saving throw or I'm taking damage, you can be sure I'd argue I am involved.

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

As someone who DMs quite frequently, I would almost always have initiative rolled when combat begins. It allows the players and I to keep track of things much easier. Even if there was an opponent that the players could not perceive, I would have initiative rolled once it started to take hostile...

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

All of the above for me as well, plus I just don't care that much to invest a good deal of my free time to prove, uh, something? A couple of posts in this thread, which is just bewilderingly fascinating in a weird way is fine, but I don't really find enough enjoyment in trying to prove the...

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

No DM would allow someone to cast Pass Without Trace, roll Stealth, then drop the spell and maintain that same check.

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

Most 20th level characters lose in a straight fight against a party of 14th level characters. Action economy is a big advantage.

I have to agree. You've been constantly changing the build you use, which is why I haven't bothered posting one myself.

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

I'm pretty sure you can get a wizard to higher than 13 AC without magic. As such, if 13 is the minimum result, it cannot by definition be an autohit.

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

Sorcerer's don't have proficiency with a whip, which would make your chance of hitting not an autohit. It doesn't seem like a good idea, especially since you yourself pointed out that the wizards that have been statted out in the thread so far are not even good at shoving.

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

The Bastion doesn't have Acrobatics or Athletics trained right? You can just shove him 5 feet away then walk out of the antimagic sphere.

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

The actor feat affecting telepathy is very much in DM fiat territory, since a strict reading of the mimic ability specifies that you can mimic the speech or sound of another creature, not their thoughts. At least Hohige did specify where the sorcerer is getting telepathy from. I guess the...

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

In previous discussions Hohige seemed to think telepathy wasn't discernable as separate from the creature's own thoughts, despite no evidence pointing to that being true.

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

Unless it has Detect Magic, which all demon lords(except maybe Kostchtchie, can't remember) have at will. Or really anyone, since you still have to telepathically order them. Actually, how do you even have telepathy this time around?

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

Anyone of these with Detect Magic are quickly going to notice the Planar Binding. That assumes(DM Fiat) that it isn't noticeable that you're under magical control in the first place.

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

Hiding is DM Fiat, sorcerer can't hide, sorcerer loses. Can this just end already?

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

The only ways I know of to get multiple 9th lvl spells in the same day is through Epic Boons or the Tome of the Stilled Tongue magic item.

    D&D 5E (2014) 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

It's pretty obvious that this is ridiculous. I mean, we're supposed to take seriously the argument against using anything requiring "DM Fiat" but stealth as a skill is entirely based on if the DM decides you are considered obscured enough to hide. Not to mention that social skills are entirely...

The latest sorcerer isn't even legal. Ignoring the spell list, which I'm pretty sure doesn't add up, Resilient cannot be taken multiple times.

    D&D 5E (2014) Quick Battle Master question

Personally I don't think a subclass feature and a class feature have enough of a difference that the design intent would change in this instance. Mind you, that is just my opinion. On a mechanical note, it would be odd that one specific fighter subclass would keep advancing while none of the...

    D&D 5E (2014) Quick Battle Master question

I think the intention would be fighter levels. Warlock Invocations had similar wording but got errata changing it to Warlock levels I think.
