[UPDATED] Sean K Reynolds just rehired by WotC

Game designer Sean K Reynolds posted a photo on Facebook today with the caption "First day of my new gig at Wizards of the Coast". He worked at WotC on D&D 3E, and then spent a few years working at Paizo on their Pathfinder RPG. The caption doesn't make it clear whether he's back as an employee...

D&D 5E (2014) D&D classic settings or new worlds to explore?

One small problem with this ( and I still have to admit I'd love to see the return of the 32 page module ) is that newer DMs didn't grow up planning and crafting their own campaigns, so this forum would be overrun with people asking "How do I fit module V-7 into Forgotten Realms/Eberron/Whatever...

D&D 5E (2014) Convince me we're doing the Warlock wrong

Two short rests per long rest is the assumption. They pretty much should be spamming cantrips unless they *need* to cast a bigger boom.

D&D 5E (2014) Troubleshooting Princes of the Apocalypse

No published adventure, ever, can detail every single thing and possibility. Sometimes little dangling bits of info get added, specifically for a DM to flesh out and add more stuff for their specific campaign. I really like having these types of things added in. They can give me a jumping off...

D&D 5E (2014) What magic items should you have for a given level?

Do you mean 7 PCs, and you're playing two of them; or 7 players, but 8 characters, because you're playing two of them?

D&D 5E (2014) What magic items should you have for a given level?

Respectfully, daddystabz, I think you might need to find a new DM. Just about every thread you've started here has been one complaining about your DM. Perhaps it's time to find another one?

D&D 5E (2014) Hot to handle level progression in Princes of the Apocalypse (or sandbox adventures in general)

I've got a file in the download section with some ideas. I'll be adding to it as I go. http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?434896-Integrating-LMoP-with-PotA

D&D 5E (2014) Troubleshooting Princes of the Apocalypse

It all depends on the level. I don't know what level your PCs will be, so I tried to call out potential trouble spots. Specifically spots with a three or more level jump. It's not impossible to fight a few encounters that high, but getting in too deep is potentially dangerous.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Multiverse as setting - do you do it?

All I gotta say is, "we'll see." The party is just 4th level right now, and will be 15-ish after PotA. Where they end up after this is anyone's guess at this point. They may want to do some planes hopping, they may want to settle down, retire and roll up some fresh young faces. I wouldn't be...

D&D 5E (2014) Troubleshooting Princes of the Apocalypse

Thanks. I'm just two sessions in, so I'm sure many more changes will come. Some of them will be changes that aren't needed necessarily, but changes that I just want to add. Changes that specifically fit my party.

Jeremy Crawford On The Dark Side of Developing 5E

It's entirely possible they will surprise us with a FR setting book soon. We just don't know.

    D&D 5E (2014) Let's Talk About Inspiration

I will admit that I have a cheat sheet with everyone's bonds, flaws, and ideals written down. I also occasionally goad one of the characters.

    D&D 5E (2014) Faerun Visitors Bureau

You mention that you know about the Forgotten Realms Wiki, but there is also Candlekeep Forums. ( http://forum.candlekeep.com/ ) There is a bit of traffic there, and some of those people really, really, really know their Realmslore. I've heard tales that older Forgotten Realms developers...

D&D 5E (2014) Princes of the Apocalypse reviews?

Out of curiosity, why do you think you have to make so many changes? Is it something specific to your campaign world, or something else? The other thread you started you were talking about maybe adding more about the Elder Elemental Eye, but I'm really not sure that's necessary. ( And if it is...

    D&D 5E (2014) Let's Talk About Inspiration

I've been handing out between 1-3 inspiration per session. ( Total, not per character. ) But, my players keep forgetting to use it. ( And the have a big, shiny, glimmering GO chip in front of them. It should be hard to forget to use it. ) I'm running them through PotA right now, and each...

D&D 5E (2014) Troubleshooting Princes of the Apocalypse

The one criticism that I have of this module ( and the one thing that I knocked a quarter point off of my 5 star review for ) is that it doesn't really spell out these kinds of things. You kind of have to know how to go about making small tweaks to make the adventure your own. I've been doing...

D&D 5E (2014) Troubleshooting Princes of the Apocalypse

Mostly the Factions are there because of integration with the Adventurer's League. They also make very useful hooks for getting character to Red Larch to investigate. ( Particularly if you're not starting at level one. ) DMing can take some work to integrate all you want into the adventure. DM...

    D&D 5E (2014) WizKids ToD mini issue

That's really kinda crappy. Most minis companies will just straight up send you a replacement.
