D&D 5E (2024) 2024 Monster Manual Fiends and Elementals Are Coming This Week

Worth noting that most Lizardfolk are humanoids (see the conversion guide's conversion of Lizardfolk to Scout). It does have two Lizardfolk variants that are elementals, but specifies that this is due to ties to the Elemental Plane of Earth through exposure or pact.

    D&D 5E (2024) I have the DMG. AMA!

This may seem like an odd question, but is the Art Objects table roughly the same? That is, five tables of 8-10 entries each? Or are their more guidelines?

D&D 5E (2014) Let’s Read Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse.

To quote Red vs Blue: Church: So just remember. The internet can be a very scary place if you're not prepared. Grif: How do you recommend they prepare? Church: I don't know. Try going to your local middle school chess club. Hand out crystal meth and guns. That might be good practice.

I do miss the "Organization" part of the stat block that used to exist, showing what sorts of groupings you might find, including allies.

They changed the size from Huge to Large, hence the Hit Dice type change. The spellcaster level never mapped to the Hit Dice.

Even with the book, I'm still finding this thread valuable for your analysis of the changes.

I'm curious what former Humanoids have been reassigned to Monstrosity, Fey, etc.

    D&D 5E (2024) "The Future of D&D" (New Core Books in 2024!)

When I heard the "a format we've never done before", my hope was immediately some sort of wiki-like site. Setting material would really benefit from hyperlinks and tooltips. When Liz made her comment about incorporating technology, my hope was further stoked.

D&D 5E (2014) Zooming In On Monsters of the Multiverse [UPDATED!]

I wouldn't be surprised if there is still an entry under Demon, Devil, Dragon etc with the information that applies to the whole group and probably a table listing all of the individual types with page reference numbers. Best of both worlds.

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana: Of Ships and The Sea

I think it is intentional. The Wisdom (Nature) roll involves perception of the natural hazard rather than analysis while the Intelligence (Medicine) roll involves applying medical knowledge instead of treatment.

    Conventions All Report Record Attendance

I would wager that the higher number is turnstile attendance and the lower is unique attendees.

    Conventions All Report Record Attendance

Gen Con's 2016 attendance was 60,819, not last year's. Last year, they never gave a more specific number than "approximate attendance of 60,000 unique attendees" to my knowledge.

Have You played In An Official D&D Adventurer's League Event?

Adventurers League is the same grab bag you get at cons. You have a 50-50 chance to land a bum GM or a problem player who makes the experience poor if not utterly miserable. Of course, you can get lucky and get a really great GM or inspired role-players. Weirdly, in my experience, it is kinda...
