I can copy/past on Internet Explorer 11 and Firefox, but not on Opera. I don't have Chrome, so I cannot test it there. But I cannot print or convert to pdf on any of them (usually stops after the first page).

I'm not so sure about that, the Monster Stats have changed dramatically over time. On the other hand 5E doesn't care to much about the balance between Monsters and Players so it might be all right even with big Stat-Changes (Princes of the Apocalypse includes Random Encounters with over 10 times...

Spells that require an Attack Roll just work like Ranged Weapons .. they have to account for Cover and have Disadvantage in Melee. But they can also Crit. Spells with a Save ignore Cover and Melee, but cannot crit (and are not as satisfying because the enemy rolls the die :P ).

But with that houserule you make the high level functions of Hex useless. The Problem for me is not about damage but that that it needs Concentration, where you have much more important Spells that could occupy it like Invisibility, Hold Person, Suggestion, etc.

With the Sword Coast Adventurer Guide we have another Martial Archetye: Purple Dragon Knight: A noble Fighter who Inspires his friends by enhancing his special Fighter Features to help his Friends .. but only marginaly and rarely.
