D&D 5E (2014) [5e] The Lichway - Old School Dungeon with new school rules.

Thanks for the invite! I will put together a martial type, medium or heavy armor. Perhaps another fighter, though I may play a different class with a bit of fighter flavor. Working on it now. :)

D&D 5E (2014) Chris Perkins to DM Rise of Tiamat session for Gametrailers

I'm super stoked about this. Does it say which part he's running? I'm very curious, having run through most of the playtest version with my own Thursday group.

    D&D 5E (2014) DMG excerpt: Carousing!

I'd also allow PCs to track down a qualified foreman for a per-day rate to keep construction on track. :)

D&D 5E (2014) What benefit to Delayed Blast Fireball?

Insidious. I'll have to use this against my 15th level party. :D

Is there room for one more? Or would that tip the boat? :)

    D&D 5E (2014) My MMII Wishlist

Eh? Good list, I'd like to see most of these too. I don't recall seeing a winged cat before, though. In a new Monster Manual, I'd definitely like to see some new content as well. Updated stat blocks are all well and good, but innovation is a good thing too. Keeps the old players who've seen...

    D&D 5E (2014) Exodus

Doctor Emma Sanduine watched the end of the fight with eager intensity. This was history, unfolding right before her eyes! Such a familiar, ancient ritual unfolding before her on the deck of the engineering department. She held a holo-recorder in her hand, trained loosely on the fight, but...

    D&D 5E (2014) What is the logic behind one 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th level spell?

My 15th level game has a wizard, a sorceress, and a bard in it. And up till recently, a cleric. Their high level spells were potent and interesting, and their mid-level spells continued to be a threat all the way up. Also bear in mind that you can expand some of these totals with scrolls...

    D&D 5E (2014) A Glimpse Of High-Level Play

Ah, makes sense. Good point. I'm thinking purely in terms of survivability, but battlefield control is a consideration too. Especially if you have the battle master feat.

    D&D 5E (2014) A Glimpse Of High-Level Play

Eh? Did you homebrew a few levels? :) I'm finding that to be the case too. It's very refreshing from a world-continuity standpoint! I'm convinced that shield is one of the absolute best spells in the game. It's a must-have for any eldritch knight, in my books. And probably a high...

    D&D 5E (2014) Exodus

--Initiative Count: 15-- With eyes wide open, Doctor Sanduine continues to record the spectacle with her holo-recorder. Her hand is steady as she films; she's not easily rattled. But her eyes are wide with interest. Her vantage point from the walkway gave her a commanding view of things.

    D&D 5E (2014) Exodus

--Initiative Count: 15-- Doctor Sanduine could hear the anticipation as it rippled through the crowd. So many faces, all watching with rapt attention as Juno squared off against some nightmarish creature, a ritual as old as humanity itself. No matter how civilized humanity fancied itself to...

    D&D 5E (2014) A Glimpse Of High-Level Play

ENWorld constantly gives me new ideas and inspirations. I really enjoy reading about other people's games, and seeing how they do things differently from my own table. It's really enriched my game. As for the maps, I'm pleased to be of service. The map isn't finished, but it looks like the...

D&D 5E (2014) Rise of Tiamat | Raiding older adventures to spice it up

My PCs are going through Rise of Tiamat as we speak. I added in some military action to the plot, to make the Cult's actions have a more pressing threat. They attacked Amn and the Dalelands. The PCs were given the choice to, if they wanted to, bolster one front or the other. They wound up...

    D&D 5E (2014) I love 5E

I'm having a blast in three games at the moment. It's such a light system, it gets out of the way of the fun. :)

    D&D 5E (2014) A Glimpse Of High-Level Play

Tonight, we finally got back to gaming after a few weeks of vacation. It wasn't the greatest session from any objective standpoint, but it was a little slice of off-the-wall zaniness. Examples: The wizard bargained with a circus master to buy a dire elephant, then tried to get his animated...
