    Google+?

I will give Google+ this - the privacy and other settings are a lot easier to find, intuitive, and far less cryptic than in Facebook. But Facebook still offers me far more and fits my lifestyle better.

    Google+?

Well, after trying it for a few days, I'm not sure Google+ is for me. I'm really not that impressed - it's a Facebook knockoff whose only real selling point is "it's not Facebook". :erm: I'll give it some time and kick the tires some more, but I really don't see the point in adding yet another...

    First Purchase?

Yup, they used to be $4.95. One of the reasons I think they should return at a lower price point is the fact that the scans are of variable quality, they lack bookmarks and are completely unsearchable (as image scans). There's none of the value-added that PDFs usually provide.

    First Purchase?

I think (hope) they should do app pricing (.99 cents - $1.99) on the older stuff, at least through 2e.

So I just read The Stand by Stephen King

The new (it just started the second season) SyFy show Haven is based on The Colorado Kid. It's actually pretty descent.

So I just read The Stand by Stephen King

I've read and enjoyed a lot of Stephen King, but my favorite novels are It and Salem's Lot. His short story collections, especially Night Shift and Skeleton Crew, are very good too. Many of these were adapted into full length movies over the years.

I'm posting...

Do you take gaming awards seriously?

I love how the ENnies have gone from being mostly a d20-centric EN World community award at the beginning to a much more diverse award in recent years. It really is the premiere RPG award now. And there's a lot of truth to the old saying, "it's an honor just to be nominated." The ENnies make...

    Thanks for All the Fish

There sure is a lot of "I quit the Internet, and I'm taking my stuff with me! (See you again in a day or two.)" in the online RPG community lately. :erm:

I highly recommend Retro Camera - I can see it being used to make some cool props for games. It's a free app for Android and iPhone.

    Sucker for fonts.

The Font Thing also lets you filter your installed fonts automatically by all, serif, sans serif, monospaced, script, decorative, and pictorial, or any combination of those. You could then select all the installed serif fonts, for example, at once and add them to a user defined collection called...

    Sucker for fonts.

Good to know. Another thing about The Font Thing - it only works with/displays TrueType fonts, not Open Fonts or system fonts.
