I suppose I could picture some long-winded Bard talking a White Dragon to death. If the DM decides to let a group of level 1 adventurers defeat a level 10 dragon through some skill challenges, that's all fine and dandy. But that's still "designing the setting/scenario around the PCs," or else...

Either way of designing one's game is fine, so long as people are having fun. I would like to point out that if a group of level 1 adventurers goes out and defeats a level 10 dragon, that dragon must have been having one heck of an off-day.

Heh, the article references Manual of the Planes instead of Martial Power for the style feats changes to at-wills. I kept reading the error and saying "Wow, gotta get me that book, it's full of at-will powers!" Bah, careful editing is for suckers, anyway. ;)

My halberd-wielding beastmaster ranger is going to take this feat twice. Bad idea making it applicable to weapon GROUPS, WotC. :cool: This feat will also benefit smaller parties, who don't have as many characters (and therefore powers) to work with when trying to work things out tactically...

I'm sorry, what? D&D is a large part of the gaming industry, but to say that the hobby "feeds off of D&D's table scraps" is a bit much. White Wolf would probably take issue with that, I imagine. And as for your friends, all I can say is I'm speechless. :eek:

I was talking with some friends just the other day about how tough ranged rogues are to do. It'd be nice to give them some love. And yeah, a Warlord who can lead from the rear would be a nice touch, and really help "make" that class. But what new things could they add to the Ranger? A...

I had no clue that a Martial Power 2 was in the works! Here's hoping there's an Int-based Rogue build... I'm hoping MP2 won't just collect the new powers that are going to be included in those minis-packs. As for the rest of the calendar...all I can think of now is how I'm going to manage to...

My bard took the Storm Walk power from the Sorcerer, refluffed as a thunderous crescendo in the song he sings during battle. I am all sorts of nerdy. B-)

An archer cleric of Corellan. Have the bowstring actually be a holy symbol: a string of hair from Sehanine Moonbow. Simply refluff all ranged cleric powers as going through the bow instead of your delicate elven hands. Which translates in-game to using your bow all the time as an archer...

Supposed to be pretty cool, a friend of mine owns it. I might read it just because I've been yearning for something RP related that's not D&D. Don't mind me, just contributing to the thread drift. ;)
