    Calling out, "systems mastery"

No it doesn't. Been there. They're boring and frequently wrong, plus all the OTTers are here. Seriously, SorO is a good example of the problem with the board. For some reason he's taken seriously, despite having problems with rules that are not just complex combos like this, but clear and based...

    Calling out, "systems mastery"

Proof is all over this thread, just did not bother to double post 'em. Yes it matters cause its all about how you read the texts, then it boils down to a simple vote if its correct or not, why cause its all subjective. There is where the majority wins, thus I'm just bringing up the DM who...

    Calling out, "systems mastery"

Shhhs... just say that I'm right and save your self some face, that way you can say everyone miss read your posts... XD But on a serious note, then your wrong. Oh and another thing, you mentioned something along the lines of "you read it wrong" to some other poster. I do believe that no DM...

9s =/= 9th level spells. As far as I see it the point he was making is he can get 9 spell slots as a wizard (his kind of wizard) at 1st level. I much as I gathered.

    Calling out, "systems mastery"

Here I have to explain myself, I wanted to word it in a different manner, but that would have been too long imo, so I opted for that sentence (something like: "I know that you know the answer, but your still gonna have to write down the whole equation process so I can see that you did not just...

    Calling out, "systems mastery"

Yes, people tend to bring up details, proof and well anything their helps their argument. In a court people they don't just go, "I did not kill that person, no I don't have proof", or in class, "no teacher I did not cheat on the exam", "then how did you reach this result?". So be it a trivial...

    Calling out, "systems mastery"

Could you guys sum up whats this all about? Cause I don't want to go trough the Tumble Thread. And if you guys want us to judge your argument then make your statements clear (im looking at you Joker, try not to use "Nuh-uh" replies (ie: Wrong. But, hey, nice try.), please make it clear whats...

    Why are undead inherently evil?

Just to add my 2 cents. We cant really answer your question, since only the developers know, but in my opinion it was ll about fitting everything into a stereotype. As I see it there was no real deep thought about the philosophy about how things would work, I understand cause that would be over...

    The problem is choice

Aha, these details are useful (would have been useful from the start, nag nag). Now I see the meaning behind the title of the thread, "choice", while 2E did have choice when it came to classes and races, there was not much of a choice problem, you played what you rolled (meaning the stat...

    The problem is choice

Hmm,Chase your post (#79: I did not want to quote the whole thing), is interesting to say the least. - You have been playing D&D for ~25 years and you can't handle such a minor issue (I do not mean to berate to belittle. This might have been your first encounter with such a problem, I just find...

    The problem is choice

Read all the post for this topic, there all sort of right but completely missing the heart of the issue, at least as I see it (yea I'll give you the answers that no one gave you here, yea ill be that arrogant). Gonna go step by step: I - Powerful characters and magic - You chose to DM a...

The Occultist - organized .doc from the OGC site (for printing, non-profit only).

Hey guys, so I took the time and created a print version (personal, non-profit use) of The Occultist found (here) on the Pathfinder OGC website (which might be illegal here on EN-world, I am not sure). Why am I posting it here? Let me tell you why. I love the Binder from D&D and the Occultist...

Would this be a breaking of conduct on EN World?

Thnx, Ill quote your reply too, just in case I need to shift the blame. :)

Would this be a breaking of conduct on EN World?

I would sugar coat this. I have basically copy+pasted The Occultist class from a Pathfinder OGC into a word document file and organized it so I can print it later for personal none-profit use (yes I'm aware others might use it for profit and all that, but it already exists on the internet)...

    Books which grant Skill Ranks

Be carefull with skill ranks, it might get abused for prestige requirements. My thought it simply make it a "Learning" bonus or something, that way the rank thing wont be abuse they still get the bonus and maybe even create different levels of the books, apprentice, expert master and so on...

So, I want to make an ooze...

I have to disagree with this one, shapshifting would hint at some form of intelligence, and oozes have none. I would like to point you to the Living Spell [Ooze] - Hypnotic Pattern (no its not described in the link). I loved this one, I imagined a soap-water ooze that "inhales" air and then...

So, I want to make an ooze...

"Ooze-bleck": This one is a great idea (I just stole it for my campaign :D), I don't know about AC or DR increase either why not go for both? Now what I would add is when the ooze hardens its might slow down, gaining the "slow" condition in addition to the extra defense maybe even becoming...
