    The bring back Birthright thread!

I would buy a good conversion of Birthright. It is by far my favorite setting. Like many of you I was not initially a fan of the domain rules. The Sierra Birthright Computer Game changed my mind on them though, as the domain aspects of that game were a blast and used the rules straight out of...

    [Psionics] Full support?

Here is a quick list of the primary Psionic information in the book. This list is likely missing information from the regional descriptions. Psionic Races • Kalashtar, pg 17 • Inspired, pg 290 • Quori, pg 296 Regions • Adar, pg 24, 221 • Riedra, pg 26, 221 • Dal Quor, the Region of Dreams, pg...

Anybody use the adventure in the back of the Eberron setting?

I ran it a couple of weeks ago. It was alot of fun actually. The only problem we faced is no one played a healer. The party was composed of a 2 year old Warforged Artificer, a dragonmarked human bard of house Orien who wants nothing to do with his father, a human psiblade raised in sarlona by...

Even the 3.5 ranger is a wimp

This has not been a problem for me. It sounds to me like the Rangers in your game are being treated like front line fighters. If you give them d10 hit dice, will that make them die less often? It depends on why they die so much. If it is the playstyle of the person(s) playing the ranger it...

    Popular Campaign Settings

Birthright is my all time favorite setting. It was richly detailed, and had a more lotr style feel then standard D&D. The rules for ruling your own nations were well put together and ran very smoothly. I remember playing the Birthright computer game just to play a strategy game with those rules.

    Animal Companion Sheet

I just posted an excel spreedsheet for printout on 4x6 cards that could work well for animal companions. http://www.rpgsheets.com/cgi-bin/arcdb.cgi?action=dl&id=2735 Its not intended for animal companions, more of a mini-character sheet, but it would definetly work for them.

Eberron = power creep or just pushing the envelope?

I agree that you do not have as much need as a modern army for supply. But food, water, and equipment do need to be acquired and moved to the front. I disagree that a standard warforged would cost 10,000 gp to create. There are four constructs listed in the Eberron campaign setting with listed...

Eberron = power creep or just pushing the envelope?

It is true that many medieval armies did not have a well structured logistical systems. It is inaccurate that the Roman's did not however. It was one of the things that made the Roman war machine so efficient and powerful. As to how many people kept each soldier in supply I am not sure, it...

Eberron = power creep or just pushing the envelope?

In the real world, most resources in a war are devoted to logistics. For every combat unit you have several units in the rear providing logistical support to that unit. The war time advantages of the Warforged in my mind are the following: 1) Limited logistical needs. Warforged need no food...

Is eberron balanced?(for those who have read the book)

This rule actually makes me very happy. It allows for corrupt clerical bureaucrats within religions. You can have evil bishops who are more interested in their own power then doing the good deeds of their religion. In standard D&D it is difficult to do this in a good religion without making the...

Is eberron balanced?(for those who have read the book)

I view PCs (adventurers) as having a high concentration of power. It might only take one PC to do something that would take 10 or more soldiers/adepts/ect to accomplish otherwise. Just because there are not many high-level characters detailed in the book does not mean there is no potential...

Is eberron balanced?(for those who have read the book)

I picked it up on Saturday after seeing it in the store. Before actually seeing the book I was at best uncaring about the release. I was impressed enough to buy the book after glancing through it. At first I was concerned about the balance of the warforged, actual play has reduced my concern...

Has ENWorld been mentioned in any physically published material?

ENWorld has been mentioned several times in both Dragon and Dungeon. For instance, Dragon Issue # 306, April 2003, Pg 8, "Get the message" under "Dragon Talk" says "if you want to participate in a message board discussion about the magazine, just head over to the ENWorld forums...

Our Local Game Store can't seem to keep the boosters in stock they have been so popular. Good thing, as I want more mini goodness.

Shouldn't this say "ENWorld Ltd. may, at its option..." instead of "Wizards of the Coast"?

Dungeon Adventure Path series in Greyhawk?

I definitely would not recommend it for more then two additional campaigns worlds. I would pick either official WoTC worlds or 3rd party worlds that particularly fit the adventure in question.
