    You gain an action point

Um, that's not "it". It grants you an action point and forces you to spend that action point before the end of your next turn. It's the logical consequence of a specific power forcing you to do something that a general rule prevents you from doing. On a different tack, if you don't let the...

Warlocks, Shadow Walk and Concealment (not Stealth)

Starshadow... there are three levels of obscurement, and obscurement can grant concealment or total concealment depending on its level and whether or not you're adjacent to the obscured target. The thing is, Shadow Walk doesn't have anything to do with the obscurement rules. It skips over them...

    The Point of Masterwork Armor?

I like the idea that the processes used to create masterwork armor would destroy the leather or metal if it weren't being reinforced by magic at the same time. And, conversely, the magic required to get a +4 or higher is so intense that ordinary materials can't hold it, and it quickly leaks out...

    What about negative stat modifiers?

4e does encourage dump-statting. At least the dump stat isn't always Charisma this time. :)

    The Point of Masterwork Armor?

So like, masterwork heavy armor gets a bigger boost than masterwork light armor, to compensate for the increased Dexterity or Intelligence the light-armor classes will have at those levels. What does this mean for star-pact warlocks? A starlock will probably start out with a decent Int, but to...

    The Point of Masterwork Armor?

Yes, but... the post you were saying is wrong says that too.

    D&D 4E Wired article about 4E D&D??

You rule, Lore. I mean, I already thought that based on your work in Brunching Shuttlecocks and Lore Brand Comics, but this confirms and emphasizes it. :)

    The Point of Masterwork Armor?

Um, what does the example on page 275 have to do with it? That example features a fighter wearing +4 warplate. Nobody's disagreeing about what kind of AC boost a character gets from +4 warplate. The example does nothing at all to prove or disprove the existence of +4 regular plate.

Halfling Rogues - Are they at a Disadvantage?

QFT. +1 to hit is better than one step up in damage dice, even taking crits and multi-[W] powers into consideration. Two steps up is a much better tradeoff, so really, rogues are best with daggers or rapiers, IMO. Short sword is kind of the red-headed stepchild of light blades.

Help! Wizard spellbooks and encounter spells?

You're quite correct. This is turning out to be a common stumbling block in the rules, though.

Nonproficient in Cloth Armor = Naked?

"All characters are proficient with cloth armor." - PHB, page 212. The only way a character could lack proficiency with cloth armor is if he's only disguised as a character and is actually a cabbage or something.

Halfling Rogues - Are they at a Disadvantage?

Halflings can use short swords and rapiers just like any rogue. And don't underestimate the value of the +1 to hit with daggers.

Dragonborn Dragon Breath encounter power is a minor action?

Definitely a minor action. It really wouldn't be up to snuff with powers like Elven Accuracy and Fey Step if it were a standard.

    Nice fighter combo

Um... two standard actions is what spending the action point is for. (Well, and for bonus damage from the Pit Fighter feature, but that's in addition to the extra standard action.)

    Halflings - What's the Attraction?

Ah... yeah, for some reason it hadn't occurred to me that you could concentrate on Dex alone and spread your other attributes out for feats and skills and stuff, but I can see that working now that you've pointed it out to me. :)

    Halflings - What's the Attraction?

Why would you want to not boost up your secondary attribute?

    Halflings - What's the Attraction?

Why do you care so much about quantity of racial features without regard to quality?

    Role Features... Controller left out?

If in a year or two the wizard is being outdone as a controller by other classes, then we can start thinking about what to do about it then. Trying to come up with a fix now based on a vague prediction about what'll happen in future supplements is not productive.

Nimble Strike, Careful attack, Twin Strike

The problem is that Careful Attack is all about hitting an enemy reliably, and Twin Strike already does that quite well. Careful Attack doesn't just need a tweak, it needs to be replaced with something else entirely that isn't covering the same ground as Twin Strike, IMO.

    Warrior of the Wild

It's still an extra 2d6 damage if you hit on both turns it's active. (It lasts until the end of your next turn, so if you activate it before spending your standard action you can have it for two of your turns.) That's pretty nice for a feat that also gives you training in any of several useful...
