    Blade Cascade: Much too good...

Melee cleric uses Righteous Brand: +6 to hit Human ranger spends action point: +3 to hit from Action Surge Human ranger uses Armor Splinter and hits with one of the two attacks: effective +4 to hit thanks to lowered AC Combine that with the usual proficiency, attribute, level, and enhancement...

    Blade Cascade: Much too good...

The problem is that it's not all that difficult to make it pretty unlikely not to hit all seven times - and when that happens you're look at 14[W] damage plus all static modifiers times seven! Considering that level 29 dailies tend to do 7[W] + attribute... QFmf'ingT.

    Best Base Class for Multiclassing?

I don't think you can evaluate that just based on role. Since multiclassing really means cherry-picking desirable powers, it doesn't really matter what the overall capabilities of the class are - just what specific powers are available. For instance, a fighter could multi into warlock, not to...

    Blade Cascade: Much too good...

Because the power itself is a standard action? You can't take move actions in the middle of a standard action, and you can't have one standard action stretch over multiple turns. That's... not how actions work.

    Blade Cascade: Much too good...

Capping the number of attacks keeps it from going to wild extremes, but it's still very very powerful when combined with attack-roll buffs, and still crappy when not. The whole "keep attacking until you miss" concept is just... severely problematic, balancewise. Then again, so are multiple...

    Best Base Class for Multiclassing?

It... depends on what class you want to multi into? On what kind of multiclassed character you're trying to build? This question doesn't make any sense. I'm confused.

    Race-Class-Matchup

Why do melee clerics need high Wis? All it does for them is Turn Undead and Healing Lore. Healing Lore is great stuff at low levels, but even if you bump Wisdom at every opportunity it doesn't scale up nearly as fast as hit points do. Turn Undead is situationally very nice, but if your deity...

    Race-Class-Matchup

...why? I mean, clearly a dwarf will be more defensive and a dragonborn more offensive, but what difference does it make whether one chooses to focus on shields or two-handers? One-handed weapons benefit just as much from Strength as two-handed weapons, and an increase to Con provides the same...

    Race-Class-Matchup

Yeah, dragonborn make as good TWF rangers as anyone in the PHB, since there's no Str/Wis or even Str/Dex race. And they'll get a lot more use out of Dragon's Breath than the human will out of the extra at-will. Dragonborn also make fine melee clerics... you get the essential Str bonus, and the...

I finally found a use for the Eladrin Longsword Proficiency!

As Faded says, [W] is the damage dice from the weapon and nothing else. Bonuses from feats, other powers, items, etc, are not part of the [W]. See page 276 of the PHB. This is, incidentally, why bastard swords are better than longswords even for eladrin, at least once you've gotten a few...

    Immobilized?

I think what tlarham meant is that the helpless condition doesn't prevent the helpless person from casting spells or taking any other actions. Creatures are most often helpless because they're unconscious, which prevents taking actions, but helpless in and of itself doesn't. I think it's up to...

Are ranged rangers better than melee ones?

Page 270 specifically describes using thrown weapons to make ranged attacks. The "ranged weapon" keyword on powers is a subset of the "ranged" keyword, telling you that the range is based on the weapon you're using. It doesn't mean anything about what kind of weapon you use. It "allows you to...

I finally found a use for the Eladrin Longsword Proficiency!

I assume he meant the slightly increased damage an eladrin ranger can get by taking Eladrin Soldier instead of Weapon Focus. It's nice for a few levels, I guess, but eventually you really should take bastard sword proficiency anyway. It's the same thing with clerics... sure, the eladrin cleric...

Not super impressed with Ranger Dailies/Encounters

Rangers have great dailies. I mean, compare Jaws of the Wolf to Brute Strike. It's like a bad joke at fighters' expense.

Is Fey Step really the best racial power?

Wizards are the main reason I said "most" classes instead of "all". It's a great ability for wizards. Useless to feylocks, since the other two at-wills are based on the wrong attribute. Only mildly useful to infernal 'locks; Dire Radiance isn't much better than Hellish Rebuke unless you're...

Is Fey Step really the best racial power?

What? That doesn't make any sense. Another at-will power = more options without increased potency = less specialized. Plus it's a totally crap ability for most classes. :( At least Action Surge is pretty cool.

    TWF ranger weapon choices

I'm not so certain. A ranger who's comfortable with being pure TWF and no archery can leave their Dexterity low and buy up their Con a little to get scale armor and the axe feats. Deadly Axe looks much more appealing to a TWF ranger than Heavy Blade Opportunity, and with heavy armor instead of...

    wizard in plate armor?

He did need to get 13 Str for the hide armor, though, which is also a waste for a wizard. Better to stick with leather, if you ask me.

    Interesting implement question

I don't think you can sneak attack on a warlock spell using a pact blade... but I'd allow it anyway. It's fun and doesn't seem unbalanced. I would not allow the Daggermaster crits to apply to spells, though, because come on.

Are ranged rangers better than melee ones?

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter what kind of ranged weapon you use - all the ranger powers are Dexterity-based for ranged attacks. "heavy thrown" only affects basic attacks, not powers. I'm not sure that's a good rule, but it is the rule.
