Adulthood gave me less time to play. Maturity, on the other hand, made me more of a role-player than roll-player. Experience gave me the insight to cater to, surprise, and occasionally even shock my players when I DM.

Much of the time a player will favor one character over the other, especially in pure role-play situations. It is a good way to fill a role in a group though-my current group lacks a cleric, so I'm thinking of giving someone an ambulatory first aid kit :D

I agree with Piratecat. My characters typically come from Everyman backgrounds but become kewl over time.

If you're asking whether someone's political views or whatever affect my purchases-no. If they engaged in triskaidekapyronecrobeastiality or baby sacrifice rituals I might not buy their product.

My current part has no healer except a low-level paladin. Several times I've put them it situations only to discover that they can't get through because they're taking too much damage.

I give role-playing award points that can be exchanged for XP or saved to alter die roll-this tends to keep character death down. How lenient I am with PC death depends on how inexperienced the players are and the situation-I think there have been 3-4 in the current campaign.

Like pretty much everyone else here, I think it is a rude gesture. Why not just flip the player the bird? Same thing. I'll kill a character, but gloating about it is juvenile.

Typically I give +1 for each doubling of numbers past 1. 4 1/4 CR=EL 1 8=EL 2 16=EL 3 I figure for higher CR critters I'll have to revise it.
