I'm intrigued and have been waiting for an MtG/D&D crossover for years (even though I no longer play MtG).

Beautiful covers but not worth the extra $$$. If my screen were to wear out then I'd make an effort to get that screen.

I was going to say... no Rat Catcher would have been a deal-breaker for me! I'm liking the way this is shaping up and hearkening back to old school WFRP. Aside from D&D, this has always been my favorite system.

The fact that they are selling and marketing hardcover books for a playtest... basically an alpha or beta version of the finished product, is a turn off for me. P.T. Barnum would be proud. WoTC released their playtest for 5e as free PDFs. There's a huge difference here.

Some of the links appear to be broken. Didn't test all of them but the collector's guide to 1e brings up an error.

I started playing D&D in 1979 and I believe the only remaining vestige of that Len Lafoka piece was that female characters had some stat limitations in the 1e PHB. I've had Erin Evan's book on my Kindle for a couple of years now... time to give it a read apparently as my current campaign is set in The Stonelands (northern Cormyr).

I would actually love it if they would take all of the Magic/D&D conversions they've done over the past couple of years and compile those into a hardcover (and add some new material). We have new races, monsters, builds, backgrounds, etc. I'd be happy with that!

I agree with the consensus that Spelljammer, Planescape, and Dark Sun are all good guesses based on some things we've seen over the past few months. I'd also say that Dragonlance may be a contender as well because Joe Manganiello seems to have a fair amount of influence with WotC and he is known...

This is sounding more and more like 5e every day. Someone please remind me who the intended audience is and what differentiates this in any significant way from what is already out there. So if PF was 3.75, then this is... 5.1? I'm just not understanding the appeal.
