D&D 5E (2014) Quests From The Infinite Staircase Coming July 2024

Teos pegged it as an Eldritch Giant From the FG wiki: Eldritch giants had skin tinged with a faint purple and light colored hair. Their eyes subtly changed colors between blue, green, and violet. Adults stood 25 feet (7.6 meters) tall and weighed around 13,000 pounds (5,900 kilograms). Some...

Planescape Manual of the Planes for 5e on DMSGuild

Most of it didn't appeal to me back in the day, actually. I wanted idealistic beautiful depictions in the art like we saw in Dieties and Demigods, and instead we got scratchy rickety caricaturish art. With the benefit of time, I've now come to absolutely adore it and all its subversive qualities.

Planescape Manual of the Planes for 5e on DMSGuild

This book may not have intended to be the replacement for the Planescape chachki that was just released, but just based on the table of contents alone, it sure seems like it should have been. I'm looking forward to getting it, especially after my disappointment with Planescape thus far.

D&D 5E (2014) D&D 5E’s Top-Selling Adventures and What It Means for the Hobby from Teos Abadia aka Alphastream.

I can personally attest, having worked at a gaming/comics stores at Xmastime, that you cannot keep cookbooks and artbooks in stock enough. We sold Firefly, Tomb Raider, Disney and other licensed books of the sort (including the Cthulhu bartending guide) like hotcakes as gifts from both clueless...

Planescape Planescape Pre-order Page Shows Off The Books!

Thank you. I've been eyes deep in Amber lore lately, rereading all of the books (in some cases, for the first time), and lots of non-fiction about Amber, since they've been in development news. So this Planescape release has gotten my Ambervision up. I approach Planescape like Amber meets...

Imagine Vulcan secretly stoking the Blood War through the Fixers because he wants to see if new weapon designs work as well as intended.

Going with the capriciousness of gods, I'd see them acting like dark money PACs, enhancing various Factions with Black Ops funding and material - that kind of stuff.

Planescape Planescape Pre-order Page Shows Off The Books!

As time passes, they will have no choice but to somehow Crisis their continuity, due to the anchoring to WWII that both/"all" companies share. (That's the reason for the Crisis/Multiverse in the first place). They've managed to fluidify Tony Stark's era war and such, but they've faced problems...

Planescape Planescape Pre-order Page Shows Off The Books!

Your description dovetails with my perception of them. Seen from an Amberite perspective (imperfectly): If the Order Pattern planted a minor Pattern-ghost of itself in the Courts of Chaos, the Chaos Logrus creates creatures that are able to intersect with it.. The color hierarchy is the...

Are there stats for sales numbers of DMs Guild per setting by which to measure this? # of products/downloads of products/total cash/etc.?

I meant originally, originally. But yes, DC even went so far as to hint that post-Latest Crisis, that it was editorially true, but then there was a huge editorial shake up immediately after, so it may not hold true any longer.

Planescape Planescape Pre-order Page Shows Off The Books!

I think of the Outer Planes as Giant Scoops of Ice Cream of various flavors and the Outlands as the melted soup of Ice Cream in the center of the bowl, with density of flavor corresponding to the relative distance to the Giant Scoop.

What's the difference between an excuse and a reason? The person judging it as an excuse.

    D&D 5E (2024) Unearthed Arcana Playtest Packet 6 Video

A cleric of the Arts and Sciences would be able to add bonuses to anyone's skill checks, guarantee others, and given that their mother is Mnemosyne, have the ability to (grant) recovery of spell slots (but only spells that have already been cast that day). A fighting style involving dancing...

Actually, yes you can. After a certain point, if you know I am perpetually late, you just have to build it into your expectations of my behavior.

D&D 5E (2024) Speculation on the next UA in April

One of the supposed "founders" was interviewed, and the police code was never a real thing (420 is murder I think). It supposedly stems from the fact that the "crew" all had 3:00 classes that ended at 4:00, but one guy's class was clear across campus, so the earliest he could meet up with them...

Planescape 5 New D&D Books Coming in 2023 -- Including Planescape!

I think they should focus on the Outlands. Sigil has been done to death, and I found it to be quite boring. Of course, if they're going to give it the short shrift they gave SJ, Sigil is ok I guess.
