My guess is he'll say Agar.

    Funniest storyhours?

I'll second that one - it's not every day you have a PC get knocked out a hospital window along with the hospital bed and start frantically pushing the "call nurse" button.

The Heroes of Icemist (SmallBeginnings 2)- Interlude update 2/21/2008!

Well, since D'Shai's a big slacker (he's currently out of town, but even when he's here he's still a big slacker) I figured I'd let slip a quick half-post. The other half should be up shortly, after Bozo the clown gets back. On the flip side, even though the story hour is increasingly behind...

Kinkos and the printing and binding of PDFs.

Those PrintFu prices are better than what you would get at the local Kinkos. What I ended up doing when I was putting together 200 doublesided pages at a time was to print the loose pages out myself (because I had access to a good laser printer), and then simply tote them to Kinkos for binding...

Is The Keep on the Borderlands a well-designed adventure module?

By current standards, I don't think so. The main complex is too cramped together and threatens to break verisimiltude, even with the "warring tribes of humanoids" nod. However, as a primer for beginning DMs looking for guidance on how to run enjoyable site based adventures, this module had some...

    Treasure and leveling comparisons: AD&D1, B/ED&D, and D&D3 - updated 11-17-08 (Q1)

Quas, I can't for the life of me remember how far you got in the other thread. Did you get all the way through Q1? And thanks for the repost - this is good info.

    Treasure and leveling comparisons: AD&D1, B/ED&D, and D&D3 - updated 11-17-08 (Q1)

I'm hoping to see the later levels posted fairly soon, so we can get to the "name level" slowdown debate.

A Work Intensive Approach to World Creation

I find this fascinating because I find this method similar to my own, though I place less importance on geography and more on religion and politics. I'm curious as to how granular this gets before you get to a point where you can call it "done," Tim.

    Is Sword and Board viable?

Or (my favorite) a bow. One of the best "flexibility" combinations I've see is a longsword/bastard sword wielder with a buckler and a bow in the off hand and a glove of storing in the weapon hand. Switching styles as a free action from round to round means more full attack actions.

    Is Sword and Board viable?

If you're going to adjust Combat Expertise to make weapon and shield more attractive, then its a fairly simple thing to add "This benefit does not apply when using an animated shield" to it.

    Unique Scroll Ideas

I'm fond of using different form/identical mechanics scrolls (and magic items in general, really). Example: a dwarven wizard might be more likely to engrave semi-precious stones with runes than to simply put quill to parchment. Or a cleric might laquer the inside of her shield with divine...

    An all-mage party

The lack of in effective and powerful in-combat healing will be telling for a group likely to have few hit points. If the players end up with a wide selection of specialities, I can also see you having issues challenging them in traditional ways (in effect they'll have a spell for everything)...
