Is Lorraine Williams back in charge over there? I'm really sick to death with WoTC telling me how to have fun. I've been playing D&D for over 20 years, I have 7 dedicated players with more always trying to join, and you know what, we have TONS of fun. Editions haven't mattered.

Yep, great for new DM's....but how many brand-spanking new DM's are rushing out and picking this up and starting their very first D&D campaign? I hope a ton are, that'd be great for the game. For an experienced DM...its pretty weak-sauce.

Bet Heroscape goes. You know Wizards was dying to get rid of their mini's competition, especially when Heroscape proved you COULD sell packs of non-random miniatures.

The Star Pact is basically a Far Realms Pact. I don't really like the concept of the Dark Pact...Shadowy figures in Drow Society? Um, who exactly are these figures? House Matriarchs? House Wizards? And I also don't dig the "harm your allies a little". Wouldn't go over very well in my group.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. This bodes very well, and does go to show that there are some very strong advocates still working within WOTC to make things right, and I think that the trust that is given to Scott and Linae is obviously well deserved.

Don't know for sure what you would consider cheap enough, but I would use: http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/previews/latest/14502 I have to agree, the Carnage Demon mini is weaksauce.

Price doesn't seem to be that bad to me, but I'm not even going to consider taking the cup of kool-aid until I see consistant quality for a small period of time AFTER the subscriptions start. I'd hate to sign up, start paying money, and then have some major snafu or delays in content release...

I just find it really disappointing that they started planning all of this more than a year ago, and put so much effort into hyping it up and at this late date its still not anywhere near ready to go. I fear much of the perception of 4E in general suffers because of it. Why o' why does WotC...

I guess the best we can hope is that Necromancer eventually goes with a systemless product or the copywrite route...although Clark seems to be avoiding that idea. I really like 4E and wish it could get the support that 3E had. I think we're going to miss out on alot of innovative and exciting...

The other problem I think, is the whole attempt to compete with WOW. Which if you read some of the interviews, and read between the lines on others, is exactly what they intended with the whole DDI. Poor idea to begin with.

Why take the tail off? I mean, I know the Dragonborn don't have tails, but does it really matter on the mini?

As has been said by another poster, Avoiding terrain inside a dungeon is only for that one character. What about the Elf ability that allows them to move through difficult terrain? What about teleporting? A flyer can avoid enemy attacks outside only if said enemies have no ranged weapons. Or...
