I don't feel let down by Orcus, and I'm a big Necro fan. I don't see lack of material/product from them as a failure on their part as much as a failure of the market and the restrictions of the GSL.
I agree on the PDF pricing. Definately worth it, and the classses seem pretty decent to me, especially if you're looking for some of the classes that were released in later (non-OGL) books. Are they up to par with the official Pathfinder core classes? Not sure. That's kind of subjective, but I...
I don't take this as "they can't do 4E", I take it as, "these were already finished and we want to be paid for the work we've already done on them, not totally re-write and re-design these specific 3 products, thus doing the work twice but only profiting once."
The encounter design from 3E to...
Yes, all info so far indicates that there will be info in the Bestiary on playing other races. Aasimar, Tieflings, Goblins, Kobolds, Orcs, Hobgoblins, Tengu, Drow, Boggards (a frog race), to name a few...
Yeah, part of it is trying to save some money. As for the PDF, I usually tweak monsters for adventures and...gasp...I sometimes hand write the stats! (I know, how barbaric!)
I do print alot of the stats out though, and thankfully the bestiary's critters will be in the PSRD in case the PDF ends...
1. Epic Book
2. Psionics
3. Asian Themed book
4. Lots of future Bestiaries.
5. A big collection of Prestige Classes
6. Savage Species style book
As for a Planar book, I'm not sure I would want something like that so much. The 1st Ed MoTP, 2E's Planescape, 3E's MoTP, and the Chronicle Book...
Ack, I got the Amazon:"your order has been delayed..." email. Oh well, that's the price I pay for buying from Amazon I guess. I can always hope to get it sooner than mid-November.
Yeah, I saw the beginning of that show last night after watching Ghost Hunters...pretty funny!
They describe this "creature" in Egypt as this enormous wolf-like canine that's kind of like a cross with a hyena...and then there's the picture on his screen of a blink dog.
A blink dog! Heh. Kind...
I was thinking about this again the other day, and was wondering if there was every any follow up, or if Mr. Leeds ever offered an answer.
This goes back to an interview that Piratecat was kind enough to conduct way back in April.

Have any of the WoTC folks been posting here lately? Seems like I haven't seen them around these parts since Wizards re-did its message boards.
Of course, I could be entirely wrong!
on the topic of the ease of magic item creation...
An easy solution to this that I've found is to limit the amount of treasure the players get, but you can only do that to a certain degree, maybe holding up some items by a level or two.
The other solution, which works better, is that...
If they were able to do a boxed set that consisted of an entire adventure path with maps, hand outs, etc, my max would be $100. Not really willing to pay more than that. I wouldn't mind re-printed art, black and white, and lower quality paper, especially on the main booklets. However, the maps...
I liked it. Never had a problem understanding it or finding interesting ways to use alignment in storylines.
I liked the concept of good, evil, chaos, law, and neutrality on a cosmic scale. Especially when it involved other planar beings.
Color me disappointed that it was half-neutered in...
Methinks they should work on trying to find a way to support BOTH demographics.
Step 1: Target and capture younger audience
Step 2: Target and maintain current older audience
Step 3: Profit.
I'm really liking the artwork and the stat blocks seem much improved with PF.
I have to agree on the icons...nice idea but not real useful. Too many and too small to be much good for reference.
