    Cool name for a true-breeding half-elf race

    Numenorean. :D

(Sub) Design & Development - Psionics

I just fear that now in a few years, no one's going to be playing a Fighter, or a Rogue, or a Wizard, because there will be new classes with such varying power systems. I hope this isn't the road to bloat!

    Overshadowed by Elminster?

I've experienced it occasionally, but its been rare. Usually though its more of an individual DM's pet character rather than a figure from a setting's canon. When I run such NPC's in a game I try to use them as plot devices rather than to save the PC's or do something they can't. I wouldn't...

[Goodman] Forgotten Heroes: Scythe & Shroud Now In Stores

Good stuff so far! I've been waiting for this one to add some Necromancy back into the game! One question though...the Necromancer has listed as one of their class features a "bag of bones". There's even a picture of a little bag with some bones spilling out of it...yet there's no description...

Are these going to be seen? Forked Thread: Edition proof Fall/Winter products

Hey Scott, thanks again for the responses, I hope you don't think we're picking on you! I found what I was referencing, and I guess I should expand a bit. Our very own Piratecat had an additional question for Mr. Leeds that was never followed up on from the interview he gave Enworld regarding...

Scott, any update as to Mr. Leeds promise?

Are these going to be seen? Forked Thread: Edition proof Fall/Winter products

Also, when are we supposed to get the final bit of info from the interview with Greg Leeds, you know, where he was going to tell us his vision of D&D and where it was headed.

What grid are you gaming on?

I use my own home-made dungeons tiles/pieces similar to Dwarven Forge or Hirst Arts pieces, but made of foam core and covered with images of stone. I use a 1.25" grid. Fits the minis and terrain pieces better...leaves room for the over-sized minis that seem so popular now, with weapons and wings...

[Goodman/Dancey on 4E] RPGs in the 21st Century - towards another "generational peak"

I could see something like this too, but with the addition of a roll-out digital mat that displays the maps/terrain/characters/monsters. Everyone's D&D unit plugs into it. Or maybe some kind of a console system that just plugs into the tv and shows everything on there.

    Goodman rebuttal

I appreciate Joe's statements, and have no reason not to believe what he says, and to accept what he says as truth and not just his perception. I think there is an important point in what he said that I haven't seen anyone really touch upon, although I did skim these past 10 pages rather...

    A Hard Question

I think it would certainly help. I'm not sure how successful OGL products can be from this point forward, but I do believe they will continue, even if only in very small quantities. I also think its safe to say that if something happens with the D&D brand (Hasbro were to shelf it or radically...

Monster Manual: Legendary Evils Complete Set!!

I guess i didn't pay much attention to the last set, but are that many figures really "rare"? Seems like the vast majority are labled as such.

Has anyone emailed Plannerzone mentioned on the news page?

Good to know then. That makes me feel better knowing that they're not relying on hearing just what they want to hear, but allowing for opinions from the full range of customers.

Has anyone emailed Plannerzone mentioned on the news page?

I did as well, but have not been invited. I was getting the vibe that they're more interested in hearing feedback from those that subscribe to the DDI.

    Revenant up

Wow Claudio, when is WotC going to hire you? Actually, I hope you continue to freelance for others, I'd hate to see WoTC take you in and brainwash you! Are you listening WotC? You guys still have fluff problems. What's the deal?

    Revenant up

Heh, so far I'm glad the exclusive has turned into such a dud. Makes those of us who don't subscribe feel better! Now I don't feel like I'm missing anything at all! :D

    2010: Is it Dragonlance? (hint)

Don't worry, I'm sure they'll get to DS eventually. (and destroy it)

    2010: Is it Dragonlance? (hint)

yeah, I'm not sure how excited I'd be to see it in its 4E incarnation, considering how many times the setting has been re-molded by various "cataclysms", but all signs point to DL as the next setting. Makes sense in a way though, it would explain why WoTC pulled the license back home, and of...

Making Rituals Permanent by Spending Healing Surges for a Year

Does seem kind of clunky and inconsistent. Methinks the rituals could use a lot of work in regards to design guidelines, examples, and general theory. Like Skill Challenges, the rules (or lack of) for Rituals seems rather undeveloped and tacked on.
