    The Black Company Campaign Setting

Woah... I tried to edit my post to add that this was an excellent, thorough review,(clicked the "Edit Comment" button) and it instead created 3 copies of my post! What's up?

    Everquest 2 Players Guide

Hmmm, perhaps, but it's going to make low-level games rather bland, isn't it? If you have a typical party of 6 characters, at least half of them will be duplicate classes, and will have no choice to change classes for another 4 levels. I tend to prefer playing at the lower mid levels (3-8th...

    Everquest 2 Players Guide

I was wondering if anyone has this yet? I saw it was added to the list of new products on the main page, but when I asked about it at my FLGS, he called his distributer, who told him it had been delayed at least 2-3 months. Can anyone confirm either way? If it has been delayed, it should...

    Races of Destiny: First Look

Bordering? I'd say it merrily dances over the line and thumbs its nose at lesser feats! :) For any character that gets a fair number of skill points and a somewhat restricted list of class skills, it's incredibly valuable. For comparison, the granted powers of a Cleric domain tend to be...

    Races of Destiny: First Look

I actually really like the Illumians. I find them to be FAR more interesting than the Goliaths from Races of Stone. I'm glad they devoted the space they did to detail their culture, as it is what really sets them apart IMO. As MerricB said, they can douse their sigils easily, and considering...

Proof (to me) that En-World is the cornerstone of the RPG Internet.

I play and enjoy a lot of non-d20 games... how can we promote more diverse discussions and interests here at ENworld? I can't stand the jerks who are running rpg.net, and so I'd really like a new place to discuss everything from Jadeclaw to Castle Falkenstein, Shadowrun to Earthdawn.

Anyone played or read Kult or Victoriana?

I own Victoriana, and I rather liked it, personally. It includes some ideas and concepts missing from Castle Falkenstein (a great Steampunk setting that set the bar high many years ago). Some people may not wish to include such ideas in their steampunk game, but I don't mind halflings and...

    Dark Inheritance anyone?

You need Spycraft to play... it is not self-contained like SG1. I never bought the 1st ed DI, but since I like Spycraft better tham Modern d20, I decided to give the new version a try. I haven't read through it fully yet, but so far I like it.

Long Time Gamma World fans - is the d20 game worth it?

IMHO, 4th edition was the best. A few tweaks were needed (what game doesn't?), but it had the classic feel, loads of cool powers, sentient plants and animals, robots, etc. The Alternity version was a pretty major change in the feel of the game (no robots, no plants, etc), and the 6th ed/d20...

    Who's excited about Blue Rose?

With the exception that I have read 2 or 3 Mercedes Lackey books (they were ok, but not really my cuppa tea), I agree with this. I MUCH prefer fairly non-tactical, narrative combat. While I rather like most of the other d20 rules, that has been a gripe of mine since 3.0 came out. I'm hoping...

Calling all Masque Fans: Have you purchased the new CS yet?

I bought it, I like it so far. It seems pretty faithful to the idea of the Red Death setting, though it changes some of the specifics, of course.

Steve Kenson's Blue Rose Visions #2 is Online

It looks good, I'll probably pick it up! A question, though... The Blue Rose Core Book page says it is 224 pages, while the Green Ronin site lists it as 192 pages. Which is correct? And will it be full color or b&w?

If you had to recommend one Mutants and Masterminds supplement...

I have all of the supplements and every one of them is very good. Freedom City is the best, but if you can't get it, the Annual #1 is excellent, and very useful in explaining/adding to the rules. Foes of Freedom and Crooks have lots of villains and mooks. Time of Crisis is a cool adventure...

    Mmmm...Libris Mortis.

The Skirr looks very cool, but just what it is is not really explained. It just says it is a predatory undead that enjoys aerial tactics. Since it doesn't seem to resemble any living creature, and the picture seems to suggest to me that it is constructed from the corpses of several bound...

    The Shining South

Yes, there is info and a map of the Great Rift. The 3 adventure sites described are The Astral Inn, a Bandit camp, and a Dwarven crypt. While they have some Shining South spice to them, all 3 should be very easy to move to another setting/world. They are adventure sites (with a short idea of...

    New Metamagic feat System

I like it, though the system I use (feat allows a number of uses per day = 4-spell level increase, minimum 1/day, on any spell the caster chooses) works well too, I've found.

    Mmmm...Libris Mortis.

    1) nothing I've seen on avolakia. 2) Not as templates, but the Mohrg is one of the Monster Classes presented in Savage Species style... a full 20 levels!

    Mmmm...Libris Mortis.

I wouldn't put it in the same league as Draconomicon, but it has nice art by lots of WotC regulars, including Tom Baxa, Jeff Easley, Steve Ellis, Wayne England, Wayne Reynolds, Brian Snoddy, etc.
