I wish the folks who dislike 4e could stop with the argument-from-discontinuation threads. They don't contribute anything other than edition-warring gravedancing, and they're wrong, anyway. There's not a provable relationship between "4e's mechanic did [X]" and "the edition was discontinued."...

How did they happen? I don't know Pendragon, so I'm asking what the mechanic was that made these things come about in the fiction.

I hope they dump 2e's awful "schools of magic" specialists. Those are terrible ways of classifying spells and spellcasters.

Because certain D&D players seem to be extraordinarily invested in the idea of keeping D&D artwork as "white" and "male" as possible. Your point is a good one, but I am afraid it will be lost on those who have kneejerk reactions against any call for more diversity in the hobby.

Artistic choices don't happen by accident. If you choose to not depict a diverse population of adventurers, then that's a deliberate choice. Not something that "just happened that way." You are arguing against purposely being inclusive -- that is an argument in favor of being purposely...

Why are you so utterly opposed to inclusive, diverse representation in D&D artwork? I'm at a loss as to why someone would think it's "just common sense" to exclude various types of characters from being represented in the artwork. I think the "super-sensitive" types of this age are the ones...
