D&D 5E (2014) Survey: What should the next Magic the Gathering Campaign Setting be?

I think part of it was the realization that they were releasing APs faster then folks could play them, so they needed something else, and too many books like XGTE would cause complaints, so settings serve as a opportunity for a mix, plus they are just fun to read in their right, like Travel...

I would want to see more of Vampire Persaudo Spain before getting a Ixalan book.

It really does sound exciting doesn't it? It's such a fascinating era, one of my favourites.

D&D 5E (2014) Survey: What should the next Magic the Gathering Campaign Setting be?

Comparing Hellenistika to Theros or Odyssey of the Dragonlords or Arkadia is a mistake. Theros, Odyssey of the Dragonlords, Arkadia, ect... Are inspired by classical Greece, Homer, and maybe to a degree Hesiod. Hellenistika is the Hellenistic Era, think more Ptolemies and the other large...

D&D 5E (2014) I wish they had a Sorcerer that had access to the Druid spell list like...

Ritual Caster Druid feat is my suggestion, it's as close as it gets. Oh and take the Polymorph spell.

D&D 5E (2014) Survey: What should the next Magic the Gathering Campaign Setting be?

I voted Amonket for the flavour, but Zendikar makes the most sense. In the fall you will have a new Zendikar set, so not only do you have a tie in opportunity, its the third time they have been to Zendikar giving them plenty of material to work with. But this book IMHO won't come out until...

D&D 5E (2014) What do you think the 2020 Summer, Fall, and Winter D&D books will be?

Okay yep, that makes sense. And my condolences .

D&D 5E (2014) What do you think the 2020 Summer, Fall, and Winter D&D books will be?

Just curious as to why you say that, do you know something the rest of us don't know?

    D&D 5E (2014) Divine Soul experiences

Conjure Celestial is amazing and is a must have Spell for Sorcerer, as is Temple of the Gods in IMHO. And if you include the latest UA, you can really build a kick ass Conjurer Sorcerer. Summon Shadow, Summon Fey, Summon Aberration , Summon Elemental, Spirit Guardians, Guardian of Faith...

D&D 5E (2014) What do you think the 2020 Summer, Fall, and Winter D&D books will be?

Your responding to a post I made that no longer represents my position on this issue. I now think some kind of deley will be hard to avoid, the only question is serverity.

D&D 5E (2014) What do you think the 2020 Summer, Fall, and Winter D&D books will be?

Yeah there could be heavy delays things have gotten worse, but I haven't seen Mystic Odysessys of Theros delayed yet. Still right now we all have more important concerns now then how other D&D books are coming out later this year. I'm making no more assumptions for now.

D&D 5E (2014) Godzilla is coming to Magic the Gathering, will he be stomping on Waterdeep next?

Didn't in previous editions it required a wish spell and some other stuff. I forgot how hard they nerfed the Tarrasque in 5e.

D&D 5E (2014) Godzilla is coming to Magic the Gathering, will he be stomping on Waterdeep next?

Reflective Carapace: Any time the tarrasque is targeted by a Magic Missile spell, a line spell, or a spell that requires a ranged Attack roll, roll a d6. On a 1 to 5, the tarrasque is unaffected. On a 6, the tarrasque is unaffected, and the effect is reflected back at the caster as though it...

D&D 5E (2014) Godzilla is coming to Magic the Gathering, will he be stomping on Waterdeep next?

I've only ever seen what looks like fire to me, but I'm not a Godzilla expert. Still either way Godzilla has no way to permanantly put BigT down.

D&D 5E (2014) Godzilla is coming to Magic the Gathering, will he be stomping on Waterdeep next?

BigT also is nearly indestructable and has regeneration, and has immunity to fire and magic resistance.

D&D 5E (2014) Godzilla is coming to Magic the Gathering, will he be stomping on Waterdeep next?

Godzilla has a size advantage and a Breath Weapon, but the Tarrasque has a pile of immunities and powerful regeneration, that it can shake off whatever Godzilla can do to it.

D&D General The Canadian Influence on the Forgotten Realms

Yeah I know most of that, but I also know some regions got majorly changed from Ed's originally vision for various regions. The Moonshaes Isles got changed because they wanted to stick Douglas Niles novels in FR, Mulhorand, Unther, and Chessenta were not originally supposed to be inspired so...

D&D 5E (2014) Godzilla is coming to Magic the Gathering, will he be stomping on Waterdeep next?

The Tarrasque makes Godzilla look like someones pet Lizard in comparison. If the Tarrasque got unleashed on Tokyo, there would need to build a new Japan from the wreckage.

D&D General The Canadian Influence on the Forgotten Realms

I never suggested he exclusively was influenced by Canada, in fact I made it clear in my first post that it wasn't the only influence, just an important influence. And being inspired by Canada is far from an insult to Ed Greenwood, and I doubt he would take it was one. And Ed actually tried...

D&D General The Canadian Influence on the Forgotten Realms

Again the specifics resemble Canada which is where Ed Greenwood was born, raised, and still lives. And what you discribed above is a prefect discription of the current relationship between the Yuirwood and the rest of the Aglarond.
