I happen to agree wholeheartedly with this, and I will add that many who advocate 'enlightened' evil (including my younger self) that does not involve indiscriminate slaughter will also end up playing more neutral than actual evil.

Everyone seems to be pretty much on the same page here. Like DarQuing I am inclined to start characters off Neutral (but then, by the system I described they MUST be neutral anyway, unless they have actions in their backstory that can be attributed to their tally).

You might also want to try Anti-Ice by Stephen Baxter. Its an alternate history novel set in the victorian era. I think that fits but if anyone disagrees, feel free to tell me why.

It does seem an odd thing to say. Why not simply state that using a spell-like ability takes as long as casting the spell? The only spell with a casting time shorter than a standard action I can recall offhand is feather fall anyway. I know my preferred reading is that a spell-like ability...
