D&D 5E (2014) Tales from the Yawning Portal: A better title would be "Nezram's tales of adventure".

How about "Legendary Dungeons of the Multiverse"? I hadn't previously heard of the Yawning Portal, but it is evocative of a dungeon entrance, so at least there's that.

    D&D 5E (2014) Armor as Damage Reduction

These are good points, though I don't think you should start with defining your balance needs. The reason people like Armor as DR tends to be a verisimilitude thing, so it's more important that it meets the "feels right" goal. That said, you'll probably want to account for the things above at...

    D&D 5E (2014) How OLD are YOU

*old man voice* That there is the problem with your generation. You want a prize just for showing up.

Tales From The Yawning Portal - 7 Classic Dungeons Updated To 5E!

This is very appealing to me. I've been wanting smaller adventures, and I haven't actually played or run most of the classic dungeons. I'm sure there are some older players who have each of these in their original form, for whom this will be less interesting. On the other hand, there are going...

D&D 5E (2014) I would like to play a Homebrew Race. Could I have your thoughts please?

I have one serious problem with the spiderfolk race as written: It has no cultural information. Everything is shrouded in mystery, giving a potential player nothing to build a character around.

New UA Paladin Sacred Oaths are Oath of Conquest and the Oath of Treachery

I have to reject both of these. The don't feel like paladins. They don't even feel like oaths. The Oath of Conquest could work, if it focused on conquering a particular location. The Oath of Treachery is just an alternative to the oathbreaker rules. I wouldn't mind an Oath of Liberty. I know...

D&D 5E (2014) Do you want a Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide?

Any player who started playing D&D after 3rd Edition doesn't have a good Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book (unless they dug up an old one). And none of us have one that covers the world post-sundering. So, there is a place for one. Personally, I love setting books. I like them more than...

D&D 5E (2014) Do you want a Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide?

Yes. Absolutely. More than any other possible product for 5E.

D&D 5E (2014) Why is WoTc still pushing AP's when the majority of gamers want something else?

I do tire of these threads, but I will say that there is a desire for some kinds of products that isn't being fulfilled. I would like a little more GM material like Cityscape or Heroes of Battle for 3.5. And I really, really want more setting books. The rate of the big adventures (two per year)...

    D&D 5E (2014) Level 20 How?

    Not yet in 5E, but I could see it happening. I played in a 3.X campaign that went to level 30 once. I'd like to see a 5E Epic Level Handbook, though not for levels above 20. In my mind it would flesh out levels 16-20;

D&D 5E (2014) Do you think Wizard is a Support Class or a DPR class?

I don't think of the wizard in either of those terms. The wizard is flexible, and with thought and creative use of spells can have significant impacts on the world around him. Sometimes that means dropping a fireball in the right place. Sometimes it's a dimension door.

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana and Necrotic Undead hunting.

There is clearly a mismatch between the fluff and the crunch, and in this case I think it's the fluff that is wrong. Neither of these subclasses should be undead hunters. They clearly have an affinity with the plane of shadow and negative/necrotic energy. They're more likely to cultivate...

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana: Druid Circles And Wild Shape

I like all three. My single complaint is the last line of description for the Circle of Twilight: "The Circle of Twilight goes to such places to banish undeath and restore life." Every ability of the circle conveys a druid that is connected to negative energy, perhaps through the Plane of...

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana Divine Domains

I like these, though the protection domain seems to diverge from it's description a bit. Radiant defense is barely a defensive spell. If the monster understands what the ability does, it might prevent them from attacking the target, but otherwise, it's just a conditional damage spell. Blessed...

D&D 5E (2014) Are Hardcover Books the Best Format for Settings?

Books are rarely the best format for reference in a world with computers. But, they still excel when reading. When I buy a setting book, first I want to read it. I'm only going to reference it occasionally. So, I think a well organized hardcover is the best product. I like boxed sets, but not...

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana: Bard Colleges!

These two colleges don't quite feel right. The themes are good. A fey powered bard with frightening supernatural charm and an intrigue focused bard with secret manipulation powers. Both are dark and interesting. But the powers themselves are strangely complex and specific. And both subclasses...

    D&D 5E (2014) Longswords

Most of these suggestions are good, but there's another possible approach. Rapiers gained popularity in an environment where your opponent wasn't wearing much armor. They're sub-optimal against heavily armored foes. You could rule that heavy armor (or natural armor above +5), gains resistance to...

    D&D 5E (2014) Volo's Guide, limited edition impressions

I really love this cover. The back is just as impressive. It feels awesome, though it does show where you touch it a bit. I would happily buy reprints of the core books done in this style.

    D&D 5E (2014) Volo's Guide to Monsters: General Discussion.

I picked up the version with the limited Game Store cover, and it is even more beautiful in person. It's a very attractive book, and I will happily buy any future books released in this style. I'd even buy new copies of the core books.

D&D 5E (2014) Wanting more content doesn't always equate to wanting tons of splat options so please stop.

In regard to DMGuild content not being accepted, that's something I can understand. Content from the DMGuild is not canonical. It probably seems strange to some to approach rules content in such a manner. But, to me at least, rules content for an RPG is still part of the overall thing that is...
