    D&D 3.x Eliminating Class and Cross-Class Skills (3.5)

Infinite wishing is also RAW so is pun-pun but I don't think anyone would say that pun-pun is a D&D "I win button." By reasonable I mean realistic. In real life while diplomacy has its place, it does not become a substitute for guns therefore the DM should create encounters which do the...

    D&D 3.x Eliminating Class and Cross-Class Skills (3.5)

I have not disallowed non-slaughter solutions, but the diplomacy check has to be reasonable. It should not become an I win button which you are saying it is. Such things only become I win buttons if the DM allows them to become.

    D&D 3.x Eliminating Class and Cross-Class Skills (3.5)

No intelligent monster would do something against his own interest, therefore if a monster is being played intelligently the players should have to explain why the NPC should have such and such a view of them. (helpful etc. etc.) You cannot simply walk up to a random stranger make some roles...

    D&D 3.x Action Points. (3.5)

Who are you to tell your players whether they should hoard their action points or not? It's their actions points, they can spend it however they like. And I disagree as far as its not promoting "actiony" stuff, I think it does promote heroic actions on the part of the PCs. I also don't think...

Greyhawk vs Dragonlance vs Forgotten Realms vs Mystara vs Birthright

Why do you say there is nothing medieval about FR? Compared to Eberron it certainly would be.

    D&D 3.x How important is AC? (3.5)

I think you overestimate the importance of AC. It may have some importance but I would not place it as the second biggest advantage a player can have, things like miss chance, high saves, optimized classes are much more important than AC.

    D&D 3.x Eliminating Class and Cross-Class Skills (3.5)

These two spells are not I win D&D skills. Such abuse, like infinite wishes, only takes place if the DM allows it to take place. If the DM is playing creatures intelligently, he will not have them make stupid decisions just because the PCs have a high diplomacy or bluff modifier. He will have...

    Arresting the PCs

Use spells like grease, web, entangle, glitterdust to disable them and then perhaps you could use mercy weapons to deal non-lethal damage to them. You might want to have the party wizard cast fox's cunning on himself beforehand to increase the DC of the spells. You might want a party that is...

    Arresting the PCs

Have the guards investigate the murders, possibly put a price on their heads and send bounty hunters after them. Send a group of adventurers charged with bringing them in and use tactics to disable them. What level is your party at? Also out of curiosity what classes does your party...

    Druid animal companion.

Looking at the MM3 table of contents it seems that the book specifically says that you can take certain monsters as animal companions in it.

Greyhawk vs Dragonlance vs Forgotten Realms vs Mystara vs Birthright

I have actually never played in a dragonlance game but I loved the novels. Games in dragonlance do seem to have an epic plotline and I also like to start small.

Greyhawk vs Dragonlance vs Forgotten Realms vs Mystara vs Birthright

I have always like the steampunk style and feel of Eberron, I think that is one of its virtues. That is one of the things which makes it unique.

Do you know why it isn't considered generic?

Greyhawk vs Dragonlance vs Forgotten Realms vs Mystara vs Birthright

One that's not on your list: Eberron. I don't know much about Mystara, Birthright or Greyhawk so I'll speak of the three I know: FR, Dragonlance and Eberron. I think Eberron offers something unique not offered by other campaigns, it has a realism which is missing in other campaign settings...

    Druid animal companion.

Looking through the Druid handbook, I saw that there are animal companions listed from the MM2 & 3. I wanted to know where it says that we can take animal companions from those monster manuals.

    D&D 3.x Eliminating Class and Cross-Class Skills (3.5)

I don't think I would eliminate class skills and cross class skills. Class and cross class skills give you the feeling that you are actually a trained professional in a field and that anyone who wants to master a certain field also has to undergo the training by taking levels in the particular...
