Star Wars: The Acolyte starts June 4

Was this delayed possibly due to Covid? I’m not super excited for this as disneys track record has been bad for live action at least 50% of the time

How Visible To players Should The Rules Be?

Yes the players should know the rules. I can’t understand why you wouldn’t want them to know The only rules new characters shouldn’t know is an enemy’s weakness unless they have encountered it or it’s obvious (the snow monster might be vulnerable to fire) If they don’t then as the dm it’s your...

    The Invincible (amazon prime series)

Amazing episodes. For me it’s the total shock factor. It’s better than the boyz in the execution of fights and for me better fights than great shows like Batman and justice league. For me unlike the others there’s no stakes on the heroes

Spoilers Bad Batch: Final Season *SPOILERS*

Caught up and this show is great. Amazing job of making all clones feel unique. For me it’s the best of all new content and filoni and assuming staff have done a great job with going back to locations and using obscure ships etc

Critical Role's 'Daggerheart' Open Playtest Starts In March

See I find it much more crunchier than 5e but it’s new so time will tell Character creation, hp tracking and token tracking plus cards

Critical Role's 'Daggerheart' Open Playtest Starts In March

based on what I’ve seen really aimed for hardcore players who love crunch If I had to predict the future it replaces critical role most likely by campaign 4 or you water down everything. Critical role doesn’t die and we get reunions etc and new books with wotc but I don’t see 3 shows and I...

Lose Your Sanity In About An Hour By Entering The Gateways To Terror

Makes me wonder if adventure 1 could be converted to d&d

D&D 5E (2024) Doesn't Eldritch Knight's new War Magic seem to grant overpowered at-will damage?

I would use the tv show sharpe for reference. I season the train to shoot faster (feats) plus mercers rules for guns. How does pathfinder handle guns? A few of their mi postures have guns

D&D General Who “owns” a PC after the player stops using them?

Well I’m being slightly silly as this is a game that is usually played among friends. At the same time say my character is Bob (sorry world builder) and he’s a fighter and suddenly after the campaign ended and the dm turned my character into something they weren’t without getting my permission...

D&D General Who “owns” a PC after the player stops using them?

Haha The player owns the pc but in reality you both own nothing. There is nothing stopping the player taking your campaign down the street The player can’t stop you but it would be offensive to use without their permission It’s an imaginary thing that is not published

Critical Role's 'Daggerheart' Open Playtest Starts In March

I am intrigued but this sounds like 4th edition and Cthulhu had a baby Cards and d12’s.

D&D General What are the “boring bits” to you?

I wish hordes were treated as 1 enemy like smaller swarms A horde of zombies could be walking dead dangerous Instead of each zombie rolling +2 if there’s 5 zombies for every 1 party member than they roll +4 etc and damage is 3-6 instead I ran 8 ash zombies recently and was expecting more I...

D&D General What are the “boring bits” to you?

Spell components-pretty much removed. Haven’t played with a dm who required them Long combats with lots of enemies are boring. I’m not throwing 50 zombies at a 5th level party. I’m throwing a more powerful undead Duplicate type encounters. So if I’m running say phandelver I’m not running...

Spoilers Avatar The Last Airbender live-action [SPOILERS]

1 episode in so review not complete Acting is good but it doesn’t feel like tv. It feels like they are on a stage and I get a Disney descendants vibe without the music . The attack on the ice fort was bad. I do love the casting Special effects-going with 2/10 as the snow scenes are 60’s...
