Awhile ago I predicted (either here or on WotC boards) that the only way I would buy into 4e was if it was fully integrated with some sort of comprehensive digital aide. Now, with WotC's moves vis-a-vis CMP, Dragon and Dungeon----all I can say is, "Be careful what you wish for..."

Well... I believe I tried it once, and found the interface to be very confusing. Something simplified like a "Create Custom Prestige Class" button or a "Create Custom Feat" button with some wizard help would be a great addition. Fairly certain I have seen similar functionality in other digital aids.

Appreciate the response, but I am NOT interested in creating my own .lst files. That is why asked about it coming from the GUI.

Any thoughts on when PCGen will incorporate a GUI based Prestige Class editor, Feat Editor---and also be lickety-split quick when loaded with 8+ sources?

Um... I started this thread in an effort to point out some serious problems with CMP. While this thread has been running, CMP has not done much that would provide any refutation of these problems. I am not complaining---just pointing out and updating some facts that other folks might want to try...

CMP's cite is still down... Coming up on a week now... Folks had told me to let it go, I probably should, but I am also concerned about tech support---it was guaranteed with my purchase of datasets ($200+)---how am I going to get it when I can't reach the company?

It may have appeared that way, but that is not what I felt. I was never hoping that CMP would perish. I still don't---though to be honest I don't think they will recover and I doubt RPGF will see the light of day (let alone the dataset transfer software that would make it all worth the wait)...
