I've got a couple different responses to this. The first is that I'm not really sure armor ought to be very effective against a dragon. I mean, it's just plain logical that, if you're fighting a giant, steel-chewing monster, you're better off dodging its attacks than trying to block them...

I'd say that Aribeth's armor is pretty much unacceptably retarded. Especially for a paladin.

I generally dig Reynolds work a lot, but that PHB cover is pretty weak. I'd rather see a whole five-character party (human, elf, dwarf, halfling, and tiefling?) venturing into the unknown, and with less obnoxious female character design than this cover displays. Tattoos! Piercings! Anime!

Yep. Quoted for agreement. Considering how much support this direction seems to have in the community, I'm pretty shocked that AC is apparently not changing in any real way.
