    Customer Service Snafu

Yeah, that was the only e-mail address I knew for the whole place, and they didn't have any listed on their website other than that one, of course...I figured it would be just as well to let them wallow in their lack of customer satisfaction.

    Imp Crit + Keen = ???

You probably wouldn't be power attacking with a rapier. Maybe divine might or weapon specialization, but now that you're adding flaming burst and smite damage, this is a pretty extreme metagaming example. The same could be said of power attack in that instance. It's just bad role-playing...

    Customer Service Snafu

I think the last time I tried a customer service e-mail, the person asked if I had been smoking weed, so your experience seems generally pleasant.

Should the keen quality even exist?

That's why you roll 2d20. It doesn't take any longer than 1d20. If they find combat tedious when you have an Improved Critical/Keen rapier, and you're rolling 2d20, they'd find combat tedious with any weapon.

    Imp Crit + Keen = ???

I'm saying from experience and logic that it doesn't make the game any more tedious. I don't care who they are, they can't take either experience or logic from me. :\

    combat styles for fighters

That's the conclusion I was coming to, but I felt like I was treading on Power Attack and Expertise. Of course, there are possible combinations of gain and loss not covered by those; if one can trade attack bonus for damage, and one can trade attack bonus for armor bonus, maybe one should be...

    D&D 3.x 3.5 half-celestial at level 1?

WotC, not really, but Sean K. Reynolds has some nice classes like that, including a half-fiend one that can easily be adapted to half-celestial, as well as half-fiend and half-celestial templates available to aasimar and tieflings, respectively. Savage Progressions Archive

    combat styles for fighters

That's why you have to make better ones... But yeah, the CW feats aren't everything...I like the style of Kerrick's styles better, but I feel somewhat that they should be more general. While one could make an excellent and thought-out system based on the above, I know I'd have difficulty...

    Imp Crit + Keen = ???

I don't see how it would be any more tedious. Multiplying damage by some number takes less than a second. It certainly couldn't be more tedious than a rogue with greater two-weapon fighting for six attacks a round, with each hit potentially dealing 10d6 of sneak attack damage.

Should the keen quality even exist?

I've been playing a rapier rogue in a campaign that I've been in lately, and I know I get sneak attacks far more often than critical hits (except that, despite my complete disbelief in luck and karma and similar things, I really am a poor roller - I fought a zombie for maybe 20 rounds without...

    Imp Crit + Keen = ???

Hmmm...I'm seeing a lot about tedium here, and I wonder if I'm the only person here to whom die-rolling isn't a major process? I've rolled 2d20 when I have a good chance of getting critical hits (rapier or scimitar with Imp. Crit. or keen) (which completely negates the time factor, btw), but...

Should the keen quality even exist?

I understand that some people want to limit critical hits to make them feel special, but I don't think players who use rapiers for role-playing purposes should be penalized. The advantage that rapiers have is their high critcal threat range. While some people might find validity in the...

    Rock, Paper or Scissors?

Nothing beats rock. Someone tried to tell me that paper beats rock somehow, but that just doesn't make sense. Hold a piece of paper up, and I'll throw a rock through it. Scissors don't beat rock. Rock might tie with rock, but I have large hands, so I'd be inclined to say my rock wins.

    Pink Floyd Reunion

Hey, the 94-95 tour came to Soldier Field. Over on my side of Illinois, we didn't get anything...:( That was one of the last concerts of that tour where they didn't play all of Dark Side of the Moon in the second set.

    Alignment, clerics, and support

Yeah, really...what a shame...the one true game (tips hat to diaglo) doesn't even have good and evil, there's only law and chaos.

Any numerical effects for that? Will saves to avoid temporary Wisdom damage from the horror? Fortitude saves to avoid becoming sick? You could have fun with this...

    Wisdom vs Intelligence

If I had to choose between Mystic Theurge and True Necromancer...:] Not much for caster levels (3 + 12 in each class), but oh well.

    combat styles for fighters

I like the idea, but that seems a bit much. If I were making combat styles for 3.5E, I'd probably make feats like those in Complete Warrior. Most of those require two weapons, and a few require a two-handed weapon, but one could certainly make a combat style feat for a one-handed weapon and...

    Planes of Blood

You know, if you watch Star Wars Episode V closely, Darth Vader bumps his head in Echo Base. or, if no one has comments, that's groovy too Yeah, demiurge, that's the way I was leaning on both things. I figured someone had a blood elemental out there somewhere. The WotC one has a nice...
