Living Spell CR and level adjustment?

Ouch...I guess I should have the book open when I ask about something in it...:o

    Rebuke Undead--Alternative uses?

I once had a villain (who was a minion of a bigger villain, but he was a nasty one in his own right) who had a huge crystal that was emanating negative energy, which had the effect of slowly draining life from the PC's who were within its range, as well as bolstering undead in the area (which...

Living Spell CR and level adjustment?

Is there a simply way to find the CR of a Living Spell, based on the level? The example creatures have CR listed, so I could probably figure it out at least roughly, but frankly, I feel too lazy right now. I'm not sure how one would figure out the level adjustment for one, particularly since I...

    Worst Feat Ever

Dodge is useful for the feats that it's a prerequisite for, and if those feats aren't useful in and of themselves, they're the prerequisite feats for the shadowdancer PrC.

    Swallow whole weirdness

I'm going to have to say that things travel with the creature, for two reasons: Firstly, because that means anything in the stomach of a summoned creature drops. Non-PC food, even. But I'd say air falls in the same category. Which means the monster can end up with lungs all the way open, but...

    Party Infighting?

Oh wow...I completely forgot about the only time I've played Vampire: The Masquerade. The only thing we did was fight each other...and I was tied up and left on the streets of East St. Louis to await the sunrise...that was extraordinarily unpleasant, from an in-character perspective.

I killed my first PC tonight

I hope it was an unpleasant experience for the player. Why would you want character death to be a good thing? I'm sure the party will try to avoid death from now on, even more so than before, including potions, more points in heal, etc.

    Party Infighting?

Just out of curiosity... Do you find that it happens often? As a DM, do you try to stop it? Encourage it? Penalize it? Reward it? As a player, what's more important, role-playing, or maintaining the party? In your experience, do RP conflicts cause OOC conflicts? Do OOC conflcts cause RP...

    Size of an army?

I think it's extremely relative. In the Peloponesian Wars (I'm sure I didn't spell that correctly), Athenian conscripts would probably be Commoner-1's, but Spartan conscripts would be Warrior-1's, due to cultural differences. Otherwise, I'd agree with everything suggested by the former...

    Dream Campaign

It changes every once in a while, but right now, I want to get around to running a campaign with two separate parties, who through their actions, occasionally affect the other party while on different quests. Thought about having the same players run both parties. There'd have to be something...

    The Tarrasque

Of course - Cleric and Wizard feeding is what everyone does...why not do something memorable? Like play the party's edible troll? The problem that I'm seeing is that trolls are always very hungry (high metabolism -> regeneration), so I might end up eating as much as the party would have anyway.

    Is this character too pwerful?

It sounds like an EasyClick thing I've killed several times over. It appears there's an IP address in the link - could be useful information...;) ...and now that I say that, I see that it's related to a toolbar. If you have an EasyClick toolbar, or something similar, get rid of it. I guess it's...

    The Tarrasque

People don't normally make troll characters (in my experience, anyway), but I've thought about having a troll PC, just to cut back on food for the party. That's the thing that no one has considered yet...that the troll could voluntarily lose a limb for food. I'd say the troll probably requires...

    Druid questions.

Particularly with a bag of holding and a belt of many pockets, you could certainly make some amusing house rules involving wild shaping into a kangaroo.

I'm Starting a 0-Level Character anybody got any ideas?

It's in the House Rules forum... ...I hope there aren't campaigns out there where a 0-level character is immediately concerned with epic and post-epic prestige classes...

    Bull Rush... Effective?

kjenks, I didn't say my DM doesn't allow a tactical move, he just doesn't think you should be allowed to move through a corridor filled with friendlies, even if they are friendly. It's not a tactical thing per se, but he thinks it violates the law of inpenetrability - there just isn't enough...
