    D&D 5E (2024) What's In D&D's New Starter Set?

Replayable? That means character creation. No Character creation and I HIGHLY doubt that this thing is replayable "again and again" as it states. Character creation is a game changer. It has it, it'll be a great set. It doesn't...it's probably a one and done.

D&D General Tier Rankings of the main D&D Campaign Adventures

I'm going to say Dragon Heist was an A-Tier...possibly even an S-Tier. You can play it fully with low levels which is a MASSIVE bonus for anyone using the starter set and or the basic rules (though basic rules go up to 20). They need more adventures playable for those using Essentials or...

Hmm, if it's the one I'm thinking about, that came out decades ago! Where can one watch it these days?

    Amazon takes over Bond franchise

Easy answer. Fork the road. Multiple shows/movies series going on or being worked on simultaneously.

D&D General I wish people would avoid name-dropping Gary Gygax

The following does not describe all players of D&D during a time period, or even a majority of them. Most like a small minority of them...but.. Anti-Authority was one of the leading edges of some of the groups of people that chose to listen to Heavy Metal and play D&D in the 80s. I can see...

Spoilers Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

The first two seasons of DS9 were actually quite boring at parts. In fact, up to half of Season 3 even. Season 4 and onwards are great! Season 1 of Voyager is many times more boring than anything in DS9. The premier was GREAT! and then it was like they blew everything they had, the writers...

D&D General Dealing with bad luck (From behind the DM screen).

TPK and Start over!!!!! Though, if you aren't that type of old school... You could always just start granting them advantage for any and everything...even if the game doesn't have advantage...use it and give them double chances to roll well. If that doesn't work, start switching out their dice.

D&D General Why grognards still matter

I can beat that. I get a ton of my stuff for free, so...that's a nice perk I've had in the past. D&D is super cheap for me, C&C is even more expensive. One thing though, and it wouldn't work for everyone, if someone wants to use a book at the table, they can't use a book I don't own and...

D&D General Why grognards still matter

Well, as a Grandmaster Grognard (as per your list), not sure I think I matter to WotC as a customer anymore, but I sure wish I did!

Dice with character...when is using them cheating?

I saw one person with cheater's dice for d6's once. They couldn't use those. Where would one pick up a cheater's D20 though? Or a Cheater's D10, D8, or D4 (I'd think that may be the easiest to spot as a cheater die though). Me....I tend for the dice that look cool. If they look cool and are...

D&D General Teased Lorwyn-Shadowmoor Supplement Crosses Magic: the Gathering and D&D

Only on page 1 of this thread, but prior to that they also did the Planeshift series. These are MtG settings converted for D&D. Proof of concept...if you will. These are direct links to them...from Wizard's own site. Zendikar Innistrad Kaladesh Amonkhet Ixalan I think there was one...

You're approached by a Hollywood exec...

A couple spring to mind. The Prydain Chronicles could be a great choice, but fantasy is a very hard one to pull off. Same goes for Lone Wolf. I'd probably want to join forces with Morgan Freeman and get Rama off the ground finally and running.

    Amazon takes over Bond franchise

They seem to keep Doctors around for around 3 seriess...which gives Ncuti Gatwa one more series. I'd nominate him for the next James Bond. He has the chops, has the youth, and could be Bond for a good, long, time.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Beyond: Any negative experiences?

I haven't had any problems with DDB, though if you get a physical item from them...shipping (at least IME) can seem to take somewhat longer if you are more accustomed to the fast shipping of other sites (such as Amazon or Walmart for example).

    D&D 5E (2024) Why are you still playing D&D?

I play D&D...but my reply isn't focused on 5e. In fact, I play TSR D&D still, because it's one of my favorite RPGs and I'm very familiar with it. Currently, I'm not in a 5e campaign precisely...it's whatever we are calling the new release (5.5...D&D24...D&D anniversary edition???). However...

    D&D 5E (2024) Do We Really Need Levels 11-20?

I play what others may consider High Level Campaigns. Not as much in 5e as other versions of D&D as 5e really doesn't reward people as much in high level play as other versions do. 5e is more geared for levels 4 to 8 and....well...yeah. It's good for 5 to 20 sessions and then it isn't...

Weellll.... I can only speak for myself. I do not. It's possible others don't and that's why they also haven't replied. Hopefully you'll find someone who does have the answer to your question though, but I certainly don't have any answers for you. Sorry.
