To me, this says that there aren't any normal Dragonborn in the Dragonlance campaign setting, only Dragonborn of the subtype Draconian. Which have different abilities than breath weapon.

I played 3.x with just a subset of the books, and would do the same with 5e, but I would prefer the announced slower publishing rate. It will probably produce better material and keep the edition going for longer. 4e really swamped the market, making me pretty uninterested.

I am waiting for the Starter Set (And the PHB/DMG/MM), because I like to run a premade module to see how the game designers feel the game should be run. I find it easier to learn by using an example than to just read the rules.
