Did Keep on the Shadowfell result in a TPK for your group?

I'd have to vote in the middle. It hasn't been a cakewalk in certain places (Irontooth, Hobgoblins who are aware of the PCs), but it hasn't resulted in a TPK yet.

    Facebook D&D Application

It's a cool little idea. It would be better if I could make some sort of minor choice outside of my character and which adventure to start. But it's a neat little advertisement for 4e, and it looks slick.

    D&D 4E Converting old adventures to 4E?

I was working on a G1 - G3 conversion, but now that I see a Giants supermodule in the WotC pipeline, I'm just going to focus on S4 right now. The biggest issue: the 4e MM is missing all kinds of monsters that were in the 1e MM. Just use the nearest logical substitute and file off the serial...

    New Rituaaaals

Ugh... if my players find about the Fastidious ritual, they'll be casting it every day. Um... not because I often have them adventuring in sewers and fighting otyughs or anything. *whistles* *walks away innocently*

What are people doing with their 3.x colletions?

When 4e was announced, I renewed my vow to create a free D&D fantasy style clone system that could take advantage of all the editions of D&D with the least amount of work for the DM. So right now, I have a small 3e/3.5e shelf containing mostly DCC adventures and a few other 3PP products that I...

You're working on DDI aren't you?

    DDI for $7.95

I read it, but you are right that I misspoke. WotC isn't claiming that those other items will be ready in a month's time.

    DDI for $7.95

Right now, I have no confidence that material from Dragon/Dungeon will be added to the online Rules Compendium in a timely fashion. WotC couldn't even finish their 3.5 errata in time... how will they successfully integrate the full material from entire books as well as manage errata? I have no...

    Literary (and other) settings wishlist

I'd love to see 4e versions of Conan, Cthulhu, Melnibone, Dying Earth and Lord of the Rings in the format WotC used for their d20 Wheel of Time and Call of Cthulhu books. That is, each in a stand-alone volume. Obviously, this [most likely] won't happen since these properties are owned by other...

    If H1 = Keep on the Borderlands, H2 & H3 = ?

Thanks for the answer Mike! I'm looking forward to the PHB 2. Hopefully it will rectify the absence of badger minions for Gnomes in 4e.

    If H1 = Keep on the Borderlands, H2 & H3 = ?

I found many similarities between H1 and Keep on the Borderlands, which I'm pretty sure were intentional. I've been running it as if it were a conversion of the original B1 module. In this case, Shadowfell Keep is the "original" keep, but it has been destroyed and over-run with the enemy. I'd...

Anyone else excited for Dungeon Delve?

I am very interested in this product. Right now I have a regular campaign group, but I also know a group of DMs (including the owner of the FLGS) who don't really have time for campaign prep and who can't always show up to a second game. This might be perfect for round robin DMing and groups...

    Paladin of Yog-Sothoth - Suggestions?

Maybe there aren't very many known rituals. The worship of Yog is ancient and there are few organized worshipers left. It's mostly academic at this point. The reconstruction of purged or lost texts. The paladin has to figure out things for himself. He probably had at least one mentor, but...

    WotC Spring 2009 Catalog

Dungeon Delve sounds like a great product. I was actually putting together something like that myself. I'm glad to see that WotC is putting one out! PHB 2 and the Dungeon Tiles will also be must-buys for me. As for the adventures, it depends on the print quality and battle map contents/quality.

    Gleemax is Dead

Agreed. It sounds like the claim that the online magazines are getting "rave reviews" is akin to some hand-waving along with the line "the American's have not entered the city! Everything is fine!"

    Gleemax is Dead

Well, instead of gloating over the end of a poorly implemented idea, I think I'll congratulate Wizard's for being smart enough to cut their losses and refocus their efforts instead of "staying the course" on a dead-end project.

    DM Screen errata up!

OK, so I tried to follow your link, Jan. First, I had to log into the forums. Then I had to log in again on a different screen. And when I finally tried again, I got a message saying that I didn't have permission to view the page. Oh yeah -- I logged into D&D Insider just to be safe -- which...
