    Ceremony Feats

The ones in Dragon Magic are pretty good. One increases Base Natural Armor (humans have +0 base NA). This stacks with enhancement bonuses. Minor costs (burning a wooden shield/masterwork one/Darkwood). non-polymorphers will love it. Lasts a day only though.

    Dealing with overly cautious players!

Nice joke. A Paladin has to check everyone so he doesn't accidently assoviate with evil. You can act nice and be evil. He has to know or he can fall. I don't think intelligence has anything to do with integrity.

    Dealing with overly cautious players!

Don't use traps and tell them that. No need to search for something you promise to not use. The issue is if you want traps: But if you use them why shouldn't they search for them?

    Ninja Sudden Strike Question

Please Reread Sniping rules: what he did is legal technically (assuming that is what you meant). But why isn't the Ninja going invisible (it lasts whole rd regardless of if attacks) by ghost step. Sniping If you’ve already successfully hidden at least 10 feet from your target, you can make...

    Classes in the APG

Agreed. Rogue shouldn't be a stand by. Can maybe, but not all players have mastered the game yet: most still fall in traps like Mystic Thuerge (sounds cool), etc. You should remember some players haven't evolved past new in some ways. They now understand their own class, but not always beyond...

    Classes in the APG

No, you are just nioticing the difference between 3.5 and Pathfinder, Pathfinder removed many methods of sneak attack. Blink Grease (causes enemy to balance by standing in it unlike pathfinder only when moving) These "minor" nerfs make the rogue weaker in your exp. The Blink nerf lowers the...

New and last Magus playtest up.

Changes I notice: Arcane Weapon is renamed Arcane Pool (granted earlier). Spell Combat has less penalty to hit (no penalty to concentration), can full attack, and cast a spell. Also granted at 1st level. It also loss the penalty to Concentration to for Spell combat (which requires...

Ultimate Magic - Words of Power Playtest

Basically, it allows you to debuff/control with damaging enemies. With that said Iceball is stronger than Fireball when created by Words of power.

Unarmed Combat Alternatives - No Monks.

No, Swordsage is just a name. The Unarmed Swordsage is a variant listed in the book wher you give up some stuff (armor proficiency, etc) for unarmed capabilities.

Vow of Poverty - Exact Wording (Semiexact :P)

Eh, Additional Traits gives 2 traits not 1. So they are worth 1/2 a feat each.

Vow of Poverty - Exact Wording (Semiexact :P)

If you can snag Pathfinder rules: the trait Birthmark (everyone has 2 traits) gives you a Divine Focus mark on your body for free so this would work combined wiuth VoP.

Vow of Poverty - Exact Wording (Semiexact :P)

Doesn't apply. You aren't benefiting from the magic weapon. You are allowed to hold stuff, but you can't benerfit from them. If you used the weapon on an attack: you benefited. In addtion, Apostle of peace lets you benefit without breaking vow (defensive items only).

Only one thing bugs me about Monks...

No, no they didn't. They modified Wildshape not Polymorph (making wild shape alternate form). They introduced new polymorph spells, but they never changed polymorph. The rules say the new poly spell rules do not affect the old poly ones.

Paladin of Tyranny Immune to Fear?

Yes I think so, but instead of giving allies a bonus to fear: they give a penalty to all saves to enemies. Paladins of LG get Immune to fear and +4 save to fear for allies. Paladin of LE get Immune to fear and Enemies get -2 penalty to saves.

    D&D 3.x Why be a 3.5 monk?

Monk 1 gives you stunning fist: Swordasge can't do that. You need stunning fist to get the CW feats (weakening or paralyzing). If you don't go monk look at Prereqs: BAB requirement. So there is a reason for monk. Also Monk substitutions (there are a lot of good ones).

Why is a Druid so friggin' awesome?

Look at your options: you get them all. An NPC Fighter (animal companion) as a class feature. Summoning ability spotaneous (if sacrifice a spell slot) Wild Shape. Some people are too cautious with Animal companion, but those things are awesome if used for fighting. Wilde Shape means you...

Hirelings/Cohorts? Does any every hire them?

You don't use the feat to obtain hirelings. You only need money.
