I dont think you can cheese a barbarian unless you take FB. Its a fairly balanced class, especially the high chances of dying after the rage ends.

Why? Improved toughness has no pre-reqs and nearly all mid-high level PCs take it.

The sword wraith template in the fiend folio is a decent way of playing a undead fighter, but there is alas no LA.

Sure, the die then re-roll a new character is an option, but smart DMs realise that if a player does something like that in order to get a re-roll he might as well give a re-roll anyway. So either the DM has a policy about not letting the player play again if he dies in such an obvious manner...

The kensai in complete warrior is hardly like a real kensai. This is more like a warrior that has a mystical link with his chosen weapon. A real kensai, kensei, sword saint, etc would probably be something like : HP : D10 Class skills : Balance, Climb, Concentration, Craft, Handle Animal...

Well with dex, you not only lose 3 to AC, but you also lose 3 to init......which can be a fairly big factor the higher level the game is. Int though, well paladins arent supposed to be stupid.......lots of RP repurcussions as well. Its really not an easy choice.
