Was asking myself that very question. Is it clarified that they do/don't? As for the sorceror progression, I agree that they lose pretty close to bubkis (sp?) when PrClassing, because they gain no powers at higher levels. I guess WotC pretty much concluded that the sorceror was a powerful...

Is it really that overpowered? It deals crappy damage for a 2-handed weapon (and has a poor crit), trip is a good manoeuvre, but I don't think it comes up too often in a game (IMO), the greatest advantage is the reach, but you need an additional feat to really maximize its use (combat reflexes)...

I should have asked this when 3.0 actually came out (circa 2000?). Why was it deemed necessary that the sorceror be 1 level "behind", when compared to the other major spellcasting classes (wizard, cleric and druid)? Has anyone tried to "correct" this in their campaign? What kind of effect did...
