Throw out lots and lots and lots of plothooks. And when you think you have enough, throw out a bunch more. They don't have to make sense (even to you, the GM) yet. You can put the pieces together later.

Actually, only 8 years. I absolutely LOATHED the last two seasons and the whole ORI story arc. And I couldn't really get behind the two new cast members either. I did enjoy SGU, though. It provided a nice change of pace for the franchise.

Definitely! It looks like a lot of the issues above originated with lack of notice of the rules changes before character creation. Also, it may depend on the group. If you're playing with old friends and the group's been together for 10 years, they will probably be more patient and forgiving...
