Skill checks while concentrating to maintain Fascinate

Hello fellow Montrealer! IIRC, you can't do anything else than walk at half speed while concentrating to maintain a spell.. Maitre D

Monster's Natural Attack and Enchantment Bonuses

IIRC, Creatures that have DR can penetrate, with their natural attacks, the same DR, ie, a monster that has 5/+2 will be able to attack and damage creatures with DR X/+1 or X/+2 with no additional problem. Maitre D

Retrieving arrows after firing in combat

That is what i recall as well. Note that there is another thread on the subject right here Maitre D

    Cumbrous Will?

Perhaps you could tell us where this thing comes from, and give us the mechanics? Maitre D

    energy weapon touch attacks

Hitting is composed of mainly 2 things: hitting your opponent and breaking through its defenses. With a touch attack, you don't take into account the armor(s) of your opponent, since you're not trying to break through it. Nevertheless, when you're trying to make a regular attack, some of your...

    Using a buckler

Kote is japanese for wrist (or forearm), IIRC. Maitre D

Does Magic Missle hit regardless of concelment or cover?

PHB: the missile strikes unerringly, even if the target is in melee or has anything less than total cover or concealment.

Hold Person vs Boots of Flying

Edited back to my first answer: you can't fly, but I wouldn't make you fall either. Maitre D

Help me min/max this character concept please.

Re: Re: Help me min/max this character concept please. So you better take Dodge at 1st level and Weapon Finesse at 3rd. Maitre D

    Using a buckler

Do kotes still exist? OA maybe? I think it was in the 2nd edition fighter guide. They basically were shield bracers that left your hands free. Maitre D

    Summon Monster and Nature's Ally?

Was about to respond the same thing as Zhure, but not quite as eloquently. You got hosed. So next time you see your DM, dump him in tar and bury him in feathers. Maitre D

    Cheap mounts, for rent, magical

Would it work? The "Mount" description states: "The character summons a light horse or a pony (the character's choice) to serve the character as a mount" Can another person use said mount? Maitre D

    Symbol: Discord questions

I'd say that bickering spellcasters can't cast spells. When (and if) they start fighting, though, they'll be able to cast spells, to take their opponent(s) out. As for the fighting... hmm... that could lead to complicated stuff... Maybe everyone is arguing in pairs, ie creature A is arguing...

    Improved Familiar

i have not heard of a precedent, but if one of my players asked me such a thing, i certainly wouldn't play it "you wake up next morning and your rat now has an aureola"... I'd probably set up some sort of quest, not so much diffrent from a paladin's mount quest, to explain the sudden...

    Quiver of Elhonna (sp?)

I've always assumed that the javelin section was javelin-deep, and the bow section was bow-deep... so if you want to retrieve an arrow from the javelin section, you'll have to stick your arm in the quiver just to get to the arrows... Maitre D

just to be absolutely sure, "rest of the round" means "until it's my turn to act again", right? Thanks again.

    healer class

The bard is somewhat of a healer class, and he is not a cleric (although his primary function is not to heal, he's still a "support class")... I have to admit that i was a little baffled when i saw that the bard could cast healing spells... The druid is a "nature cleric", and he can heal...

    Using a buckler

I kinda feel i have to justify myself... It could look like i'm somewhat of a powergamer/munchkin (its kind of the way I feel after some of the remarks i got in this thread), because of the character i'm building. Maybe that's the way I like to play. Maybe its because the campaign i'll be...

    Using a buckler

Re: Re: Using a buckler Oh yeah about that last part, the PHB states that if you use a weapon in your off-hand (assuming that you put your buckler on your, uh, off-arm), yuo get a -1 penalty to attacks. Does that penalty apply when you use a 2-handed weapon? thanks to all that have answered...
