If Wizards were to attempt to show that the CC is revocable it would invalidate licenses from companies that make the multi-billion dollar Hasbro look quiant.

I think they assumed people would know that listing a name in an SRD doesn't give people the rights to all forms of the character/product. It's just a label, not an allowance to use all art, fiction, etc
