D&D 4E So, which class will end up being the -Zilla of 4e?

No idea. Ask the 4e character optimization boards in about a year. It could be any mix of single characters, multiclassed ones or weird synergistic party builds. It probably won't be the first class that everyone tags as broken after they've first read the PHB. See the thread a few weeks back...

Which class will be the faveorite wrt multiclassing dips?

According to R&C there's isn't just one class training feat for each class and they cover more than just powers: I agree with those people who think that these class training feats are going to be the entire 4e multiclassing rules. Once you get access to the class abilities, skill list and...

Dragon 364 News at Gleemax [merged]

I agree: the core books are by far the most important product they are working on. The problem is that the managers at WotC obviously thought that they had the resources to produce both the core and the supplementary material - otherwise, why would they have announced all these Dragon articles...

Spiked Chain: The Ultimate Defenders Wep or Sir Not Appearing in the Edition?

It just lists the weapon as "chain", not "spiked chain", though it still has a Reach of 2. I'm not a DDM player, but the attack bonus and damage look a little low.

Which class will be the faveorite wrt multiclassing dips?

Where has it been hinted? Rich Baker's blogpost about his warlord/wizard is still the only description of a multiclassed 4e character I've seen, and it reads like it's just the crosstraining feats. Also, the line: would sort-of-imply that it won't be working similarly to 3e.

Planned novels to bridge the edition leap?

There's been a couple of developer comments that still link it to rangers. Also, the Everfrost Ranger DDM piece has Two Weapon Slash as its primary melee attack. At least they seem to have disposed of spellcasting Rangers in 4e. Perhaps by 5e Drizzle will be dead and buried...

Dragon 364 News at Gleemax [merged]

I have a rather Machiavellian theory that Wizards brought Dungeon/Dragon and the rest of their IP back in-house not because they wanted to do much with it themselves but mainly to make sure that no-one else was going to use it to support 3.5. If this is the case, they'll probably license it back...

    [Character Creation] Helpful Symmetry

You're probably getting it from Rich Baker's Gleemax post about his Wizard/Warlord Karhun:

The Dungeons of Dread preview 3 is up, and describes two monsters that are templates in 4e:

    Spell-less Ranger confirmed by Mearls

I think this might be the first confirmation that the ranger is in the PHB1 as well.

What classes will be in the martial power book?

I originally picked the warlock as the divine controller - the pacts sounded more like a divine source than an arcane one, and obviously they'd want to have two controllers in the PHB... Inference: since you're discussing the bard, and you're under the NDA, the bard isn't in the playtest...

What classes will be in the martial power book?

I could see a bigger demand for arcane and divine classes in their power books. If the current best guess of the classes in the PHB is right, and if the ranger is a martial character (it's never shown any divine powers in any of the playtests) then the PHB1 has 4 martial, 2 divine and 2 arcane...

What classes will be in the martial power book?

It doesn't seem very different from the warlock pacts to me.

What classes will be in the martial power book?

I don't think they've ever said that the primal source has anything to do with the feywild. I'm guessing it will be connected to the elemental chaos and the primordials.

What classes will be in the martial power book?

For the martial controller, I could see a class that uses whips, nets and spiked chains to entangle and disable groups of enemies. It should be called the Dominatrix. And the Assassin is obviously the divine striker. They should work for the Old Man of the Mountain, need to consume large...

    D&D Minis: Preview 2

I think it looks like the ability that makes a ranger a striker; as such, I don't think it looks stronger than sneak attack now that most enemies are vulnerable. The warlocks had something that sounded similar in a earlier playtest.
