    So, Wintertouched...

The problem is that it's rather worthless in heroic, and not at all bad in Paragon with LF. There isn't much you can do to make it less of a dog in heroic without making it possibly too powerful later on. CA with cold vs. fire resistant enemies would be a huge boost to cold powers in general...

    D&d xp

Looks right as-is (+1 leather = +3, +1 1/2 level, +3 Int = 17). Did you mean the Barb? If he adds Con to AC, as has been speculated, he would have AC 18 and his sheet has a typo.

    I want PHB 2 now

Shadow Power's for emos to cut themselves with, I'm preordering PSI Power now.

    I want PHB 2 now

Boring! Primal Power is where it's at, I want to play more druid builds.

    Worst 4th Ed Class

Well, if they use Con, it'd only be a point down (compared to 2 or 3), and the person who prepared the char sheets has already mentioned it, I believe. Also, I don't understand people who don't enjoy the Wizard. Color Spray? Stinking Cloud? Mofoin' Flaming Sphere? My Wizard is a ton of fun to...

    Weapon/Implement Expertise: +1 to-hit?! Yuck!

Well, they will want to take WE, then. It's strictly better.

    Worst 4th Ed Class

No idea re: the shaman, but the DDXP Barb appeared to add Con to AC, rather than Dex. (It was miscalculated, but even so.) EDIT: But if the Thaneborn Barb adds Cha to AC, I'm just going to lose it. That would be absolutely absurd.

    Weapon/Implement Expertise: +1 to-hit?! Yuck!

OK, and now here's the question, would they swap it out if WE/IE were available? I can't think of a character I've made where I wouldn't spend a feat on it, and for many I'd take it level 1, no question.

    Weapon/Implement Expertise: +1 to-hit?! Yuck!

So those rogues didn't take Nimble Blade? This is better for them if they did. And when even half the group wants a single feat (and I'd bet the rogues would still give it a look as monster defenses began to outstrip their bonuses), that sounds overpowered already. What PHB feat had half the...

    Weapon/Implement Expertise: +1 to-hit?! Yuck!

I bloody hope so, an untyped bonus would be way worse. About the best type (as in, least power-creepy) would be a power bonus, but that'd be kinda annoying with a warlord/other bonus-granting leader. EDIT: Actually, the best bonus would be proficiency, and have it still cap at 3 (so WE would...

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder: How Should it Handle High Level Dependence on Magic Items, ie the "Big 6"

The "Big 6" items are about as dull as dishwater, and it's a real shame that characters in 3.5 need them to keep up. I absolutely think #7 is where the game needs to go-- make power more of an inherent, rather than item-based aspect of a character. In my mind, magic items ought to be...

Dragon 372 - Ampersand: Summoning, Arcane Power Preview, and Mordain the Fleshweaver

Sounds like you just need to hit him with both types. A cleric and a cold-wizard would work nicely. EDIT: Both before the beginning of his next turn, that is.

    Weapon/Implement Expertise: +1 to-hit?! Yuck!

Check out the DDXP char sheets here: Hordelings: Miniatures Enthusiasts -- 4th Edition Discussion: Delve Characters Players Handbook 2 Remember that the 1/2 level is already added in the listed ability modifiers, it doesn't get added again. So. Feats that add a +1 feat (hopefully not untyped)...

    DDXP 09 Delve Character Sheets

Haha, oops. Meant "move" there. But yes, they're a very "tough love" kind of class.

    DDXP 09 Delve Character Sheets

Check out the other DDXP thread, we're discussing it. The Avenger gets an Oath that's like Hunter's Quarry, except instead of adding damage, they can roll melee attacks twice when they're adjacent only to their target. This Avenger option also gets a +4 damage bonus when the target moves away...

    D&d xp

Probably not long. Since their AC will be garbage (avengers need a hand free) and half their attacks will use only one weapon, I think it's fair enough.
  17. yesnomu

    D&d xp

When your mark is the only enemy next to you, you can roll all melee attacks twice and take either result. You have a roughly 50% better chance to hit, so a +2 vs. a +3 isn't such a big deal. It's very, very nice.

    D&d xp

On the other hand, the Avenger also gets a damage bonus when the enemy moves away from him, at least for this Censure option. Fascinating, a very defender-ish striker. I think the lack of extra damage will be made up for from the double attack rolls (wow) when only next to one enemy and...

    I can't do without the 9 alignments

They're very, very few, but they are there. There's a paladin PP power that does more damage against evil things, there's a helmet that can only be used by LG/G characters, and in one of the Scales of War adventures Heh, my DM decided my wizard got the benefit of that last one. I had attempted...

    Preview: The Sorcerer

Naw. They don't get a ranged burst, and their close blast only does damage. No at-wills create zones or add status effects. They do more damage, but they ought to, of course. The wizard's role is safe from the sorc, at least.
