What happens with reliable multi-target powers?

I disagree completely. ANY time the rules as written clash so obviously with the rules as intended, there needs to be errata. Errata is far more important for glaring issues than for subtle issues.

What happens with reliable multi-target powers?

So you're saying there's only one attack roll? Because clearly, a miss is a miss. There isn't a separate definition in the rules for missing on an attack level vs on a power level. A miss is a miss. The exact rules text is, "Reliable: If you miss when using a Reliable power, you don't expend...

    Elf Cleric/Ranger

Ranger/Cleric is actually pretty good. There's a level 5 daily power that's incredible for an archery Ranger: Weapon of the Gods. Enchants the touched weapon with +1d6 radiant damage per hit AND a -2 AC effect on the target. Then you can also pick up stuff like (Mass) Cure Light Wounds and one...

    Minions falling = autokill?

A less than 10 foot fall shouldn't deal any damage.

    In Defiance of Dragons--Protectors IC

Immeral gathers his portion of the tribute and sets out for town with a frown on his face. Not a frown for the tribute - Immeral had long since given up reacting to that - but rather for the puzzle and problem presented by the scorched stag he had found recently in the woods. Try as he might, he...

    4E tactical game (recruitment closed)

That's a good point. Lose 2 Initiative and 2 Stealth but get secondary benefits on a lot of warlock powers. Anyhow, the Rogue's Gallery is up. Please post your characters there once you've finalized them. I'll do a review of each and once everyone's been reviewed, the game will start. EDIT: By...

    Company of the Morning Sun

Here's the Rogue's Gallery for my 4E tactical game. XP Log: Treasure Log: Current Mission: Current Roster: Elf Ranger (Redclaw) Dragonborn Warlord (renau1g) Human Fighter (Charwoman Gene) Eladrin Wizard (industrygothica) Human Warlock (Jemal) Dragonborn Paladin (Walking Dad)

    Targeting through allies.

That particularly silliness bothered me as well. An Ancient Dragon getting cover from a kitten is ludicrous - beyond the bounds of even the very limited simulationism in 4E.

    Shifting

Any creature can shift as a move action, unless specifically mentioned otherwise in its statblock (for example, gargoyles that turn into statues cannot move until they revert to mobile form).

    4E tactical game (recruitment closed)

The only 'mistake' I see on your character sheet, industrygothica, is no spellbook. It's free of charge, for the record (same with a cleric's ritual book). I'd recommend you grab some ritual components with your excessive leftover starting cash. I'd also consider dropping Strength down to 8 and...

Ok. Now I 'get' the epic tier

Dark Avenger and Bladedancer actually from the looks of it. Though the DA's cat is nowhere to be seen. I'd actually say Gladiator, but he's not using two swords. Either way, the Dark Elf is definitely a Bladedancer. (All Lineage 2 character classes, for the record)

What happens with reliable multi-target powers?

You claimed Rules As Written, that's how it works. Your claim is false. Rules As Written, if you miss at all it's retained. Obviously, that's not how it's intended to work. But don't claim RAW when you mean RAI.

What happens with reliable multi-target powers?

Cite your source that defines a multi-target power as missing only if all targets are missed?

What happens with reliable multi-target powers?

Good question. RAW, if you miss at all, you retain the power. Thus if you use a close burst 1 and hit 7 adjacent creatures while missing the last 1, you can do it all over again on the next round. I'm fairly certain that's not how it's intended to work, though.

Improved Fate of the Void [Warlock]?

I didn't go after your GM. The first thing listed is encounter design. EDIT: I apologize if either you or your GM felt like that was an attack; that wasn't my intent at all. When you're running a published module, encounter design is more likely to be the cause of problems than the GM. Also...

Improved Fate of the Void [Warlock]?

That's an encounter design/DM problem, not a problem with the feat. Of the 12 encounters I've designed for my PbP 4E game, only 2 of them really have minions that will group in groups larger than 2-3 (one with 8 kobold minions and 2 lurkers, and one with 14 various goblin minions). The other...

    Warlord Exploit - Commander's Strike

If you make it a ranged power, it provokes OAs.

Improved Fate of the Void [Warlock]?

Right. It works really well on packed minions and really poorly on everything else. Like I said, really limited in scope.

Improved Fate of the Void [Warlock]?

It's for one roll, you have to have used multiple minor actions previous, and they all have to die essentially at the same time. It's really limited in scope. I don't think it's that obscene, really.
