So ... there are a lot of subclasses in 5e. And it's certainly possible to use older subclasses with the 2024 PHB classes. And for myself, I'm hoping to see new content after the 2024 Core books come out rather than just rehash and reprint previous material. But ... some subclasses didn't hit...

Not just boring ... probably not super relevant. If I've got Subtle Spell ... I don't need to be applying that in the midst of a battle I've got my Sorcererous Rage up! I was hoping Sorcerers would get 3 starting Metamagics.

TBH, I don't know if I would make a change. I love having the Psionics in core now, each class got a good spread of abilities. And while I'd like a Storm or Divine Sorcerer because I think they need the work ... given that we have the Sea Druid and Celestial Warlock, I prefer not having that...

My desire for a pet class is more the pokemon trainer or such, so I don't think the Ranger should have an animal companion by default. I like that the Beastmaster exists, and I want other classes to have access to summonable allies, but for me, I do think that a Summoner class is missing from 5e.
