The Walking Dead 4.5 "Internment" (spoiler alert)

Lots of "I" titles this year. Are you Team Carol or Team Rick after last week? Will Carol make a return appearance? I originally thought "internment" was referring to burial, but it means imprisonment, like the tragic Japanese internment camps in WW2. "Inter" does mean to bury, though...

Walking Dead- What happened to The Governor [spoilers]

I was reading over on a Walking Dead forum, and I think either episode 6 or 7 is an episode devoted entirely to The Governor. So, they're bringing him back in time for the mid season finale. I wonder if we'll get (comic spoilers to the right)

Walking Dead- What happened to The Governor [spoilers]

That is my guess as well, though the description for episode 5 says, Assorted enemies pressure Rick and the group; the survivors and the prison may reach a breaking point. We know the zombies are one enemy... the person feeding the rats is another. Could the Governor be another one coming?

Halloween costumes -- where is the taste line drawn?

and, if the powers that be at enworld wanted to boot you off the website, they could do that, too. And, in a public forum, you could be in legal trouble if you engaged in certain types of speech.

Halloween costumes -- where is the taste line drawn?

People were saying that if Harry if people were offended by Prince Harry wearing a Nazi uniform, it's too bad it's freedom of speech and you can't do anything about it and that you shouldn't be offended. However, there are a whole slew of exceptions to freedom of speech in the UK (as well as...

Halloween costumes -- where is the taste line drawn?

Since we're discussing Prince Harry, the UK freedom of speech rules should be used - and, there is a whole swath of exceptions to free speech in the UK: >>> United Kingdom citizens have a negative right to freedom of expression under the common law.[85] In 1998, the United Kingdom incorporated...

Halloween costumes -- where is the taste line drawn?

Freedom of speech means the government cannot makes laws restricting the freedom of speech. A private newspaper like the one Murdoch runs is free to outraged at Prince Harry if they want.

Halloween costumes -- where is the taste line drawn?

Sorry, just because you say it shouldn't apply does not mean that it does not apply. It's something that has applied to humans for thousands of years. Public figures - be they politicians, kings, queens, emperors, or other celebrities - have different standards than the general public. If...

The Walking Dead 4.3 Isolation (spoilers)

He was really stepping up as a leader last episode - first, he tries to break up the fight between Rick & Tyreese, and then he gives Michonne some encouragement, telling her that he's glad she's there. It would be a cruel twist of fate almost worthy of George R.R. Martin if Daryl was killed...

Halloween costumes -- where is the taste line drawn?

For good or bad, though, public figures are held to different standards than the general public. And, among public figures in the UK, the royal family is one of the most prominent.

The Walking Dead 4.3 Isolation (spoilers)

It's possible that they do have a few "safe" houses that just haven't been mentioned on the show. They've only shown them outside the immediate environs of the prison twice this year so far - once in the opener where it was raining zombies and at the end of this episode. Neither situation...

The Walking Dead 4.3 Isolation (spoilers)

Carol said she did it, but was she covering for somebody else?

The Walking Dead 4.3 Isolation (spoilers)

well, they did say on the show that they had looted every pharmacy, doctor's office, etc in a 50 mile radius for drugs and supplies. The farther out they go, the more greater the chance of them running into trouble. They had wind power at Hershel's Farm - it just wasn't a secure location.

The Walking Dead 4.2 "Infected" (spoiler alert)

and, while some of you may not watch Talking Dead, it racks up huge ratings... granted, it's got a ratings giant as a lead in. But, if people weren't interested, they'd tune out.

    D&D 5E (2014) Whats your dealbreaker for 5E?

So, there is no place for a group that want to play a band of swashbuckling pirate rogues? The fact that they're all one type of party (striker), IMHO, can make for a lot of fun at the table. Lots of damage, but weaknesses in other areas that can be exploited, but not abused, by a good DM...

    D&D 5E (2014) Whats your dealbreaker for 5E?

Actually, I thought the guys playing strikers were the most effective characters in the group. Perhaps that is why I thought it was an offensive minded party? Plus, while the wizard was a Controller, he was also fairly offensive minded. The guy playing the shaman leader was a good player, but...

The Walking Dead 4.2 "Infected" (spoiler alert)

well, Hershel was (is?) a man of god, so he perhaps thought the humane thing to do was to keep the walkers until God pointed them to a cure. However, I think once they had the Barnageddon episode with Sophia, Hershel came to his senses.

    D&D 5E (2014) Whats your dealbreaker for 5E?

Actually, I'd say they were a pretty offensive minded party - they had a melee striker and a ranged striker, as well as a hybrid barbarian/warlord for offense/defense, as well as a wizard Controller, shaman as leader and fighter defender. Part of the problem was that both sides had so many...
