I'd make it 1d12 to fit with the greataxe, but it's only 1/2 a point of damage, no biggie. Or perhaps make it an exotic weapon doing 1d12 20/x4 to reflect the difficulty of using a weapon that big and the massive crushing blows it can inflict.

Anywhere you want. The Lyonesse series is similar fantasy, also very fun. It runs 'Lyonesse I: Suldrun's Garden', 'Lyonesse II: The Green Pearl' and 'Lyonesse III: Madouc'. The one series I wouldn't recomend is 'The Demon Princes', a pretty simplistic revenge tale.

Except that, as Geoff mentioned, with Haste you'll be able to attack at +12/+12/+12/+12/+12/+12/+12/+12, since since it is a standard action the free partial action from Haste allows a whole new round of attacks.

Adelaide I'm afraid. Another good place to find RPG clubs is in universities - I'm the librarian for the club here, and the other uni in town has a sci-fi club that included gaming. (And our gaming club is about to eat the sci-fi club)
