From what I can read in this thread, an ICBM does 3d12 damage. Somehow, that doesn't seem right.

Remember that if this 3rd level psion used Mind Blast, that's all he does today. He has no combat ability. He doesn't have any feats, since he spent them all on Inner Strength. He can't use his powers because he has no PP left.

The mathematics of crits are quite simple really, not needing damage calculations. A 20 x2 crit crits 5% of the time and increases damage by 100%, so damage goes up 5%. A 20 x3 crits 5% of the time and increases damage by 200%, so total damage increases by 10%. A 19-20 x2 crits 10% and increases...

Theres a more useless ability. When the Cavalier from S&F charges, instead of attacking once, they get to attack, um, once.

I say he was just desperate. Maybe in trouble if it's indicative of a long-term trend, but for now he seems fine to me.

Better: A Heavy Mercurial Great Scimitar. 2d8 19-20 x4. Now cast Righteous Might to increase to Large size, and scale up your weapon. d8 goes to 2d6 according to the chart, so your huge heavy mercurial great scimitar does 4d6 19-20 x4.

1) Have it use a change self spell to look like a white dragon, so they'll try and use lasers on it. 2) Make sure it has a protection from elements: electricity up.

The ruby would indeed disappear. Or at least it would, if it hadn't already dissapeared when you used it to cast the spell.

Why not just have him make his scrolls out of stone? No new rules neccesary.

4) All the stupidest plans involve Alchemist's Fire.

Summon a small Mineral Elemental, chip off a ruby, and use it to cast the spell immediately, before it disappears.

The Continual Flame is cast on the inside of the mirrored sphere. Another idea: Use Shrink Item on a large quantity of Alchemist's Fire to make it small and clothlike. Make a net from the cloth. Throw it over someone, then speak the command word. 20d6 damage anyone? (total immersion)

No idea on the gun, but I have a variant: Spear, with a very large spiked head. Shrink head (only), without making it clothlike. Shove into someone in normal fashion. Impact expands head, causing a 1' spiked iron ball to explode into being inside their chest cavity.

Entangle does not cause vegetation to grow, it just animates the existing stuff. So unless the courtyard is seriously overgrown the spell will have no effect.

Ok, so maybe the bad guys shouldn't be hitting. But the good guys certainly shouldn't be, considering the conditions many of the shots are made in!
