I like the article, evocative and with suitable info provided. Liking the maps for both versions of the city; the monthly night of revelry sounds more than worthy of inclusion. And I LOVE the idea of a DnD/Sliders.. Perhaps with a little more control over the situation, but a pressing story...

One thing I LOVE is the humour of the injuries tables. Flaming soon-to-be-corpses setting nearby characters on fire, head exploding and splattering those nearby.. Black humour throughout :)

Definitely sounds like like a fun moment. Stuff like this ensures staying at an Inn doesn't just become a technicality but a chance for roleplay and setting depth etc. :)

Discussions on the Barbarian thread got me wondering; what are people's experiences in regard to PCs burning all their dailies in a Nova-fest? Has it been an issue? Are players reserved with their dailies, or somewhat trigger happy? Do you enforce longer days through adventure design/RP...

I can imagine there not being one. It's pretty unlikely we'll see a martial controller either, but a primal defender does appear to have more design space to it than the former.

If we're talking about Dark Heresy here, or indeed it it's the same in WHFRP, IIRC Advanced Skills can only be used if trained, where as basic skills like Gamble I believe use half your attribute score if attempted untrained.
