I haven't checked out Mage Hand Press before but I did back Level Up and if I ran another 5e style game I'd likely use it versus vanilla 5e.

They are responsible for actively trying to destroy entire companies and cost likely thousands of employees their jobs so not unreasonable in my opinion. Plus they're surely executive level individuals so with the golden parachutes in their contracts I'm sure they'll recover.

Yep, already have. No more WOTC purchases. I'll still support third party publishers who are putting out books already in the pipeline but my groups have switched off 5e.

I seriously doubt that they would be signing based on what I've seen of Goodman up through now.

If I remember what Joseph said on this in the past he had the chance to review the GSL prior to 4e coming out and seeing the poison pill text to stop publishers from using the OGL if they accepted the new license he decided to just publish for 4e using the existing OGL. Eventually WOTC removed...

For Goodman Games, on their YouTube/Twitch show Maw of Mike, Michael Curtis who is the line editor for DCC said they were waiting to see the official release from WOTC looks like. He doesn't seemed concerned about DCC going away anytime soon. No word from Joseph Goodman as yet.

It's also worth noting that they own Deep Silver which is the company which published the Pathfinder Kingmaker video game which presumably also relies upon the OGL. Also, they have published Adventures in Rokugan which is the 5e conversion of legend of the five rings.

I was a little worried about that too for the same reasons. As a big fan of Kobold Press I'm happy to see them not supporting 1.1. They have my support for their new direction.

I DM for my groups approximately 90% of the time and I do so because I want to, I love running games, and because my groups want me running their games.

I've already got it as I use a ton of Kobold Press material in my D&D games but make sure you grab this if you're subscribed everyone because it's chock full of monstrous greatness.
